I recently purchased some original artwork and progs that I plan to hang. I know several of you gents are collectors and display your zarjaz collections on the wall.
Does anyone have advice/examples how to frame a piece of art/comic to best preserve the art? I have been reading online and see that acid-free glass/wood etc. may be a consideration. I would also like to see examples of hanged art if anyone has any!
Cheers
I took mine to an art shop that does framing as well. They then offered a range of protection right up to museum conservation framing. That's what I went for to protect the artwork as much as possible, but obviously the more protection you build into it, and if you are going with a custom built frame, you are going to pay more.
Thanks for the advice SIP. I had hoped to do it myself (buy really nice frames) to avoid the costly method of custom framing, but will consider your advice. I have a 40% off coupon for framing at a nearby crafts store, I'll check out their options and prices this week.
I can recommend this online framer
You measure your artwork and they make it to fit and post out
