Have I missed the window for birthday fun?

I'm afraid you have, Earthlet - it was up for 48 hours.

Bother.  :( Thanks for answering though.

I just clicked on the link in the newsletter and all I get is a page advertising some comics I already subscribe to. Have I missed the window for birthday fun? Help me Molch-R, you're my only hope!  :'(

So Black Shuck is nothing to do with the wild dog of Norfolk legend? That's disappointing but I'm sure it'll be great anyway.

The cover was brilliant this week, I have to say!

One thing we'd all agree on I'm sure. Amazing cover.

I thought it was ok but a bit bland, then I saw CF's arrangement in Smiths and it really does look good on the shelf.

It looks more like Paul McGann to me.

I've only just got the joke in the title of the 'Cheap Thrills' thread.  :-[

I thoroughly enjoyed the anniversary episode, apart from the David Blaine twatdangle over Trafalgar Square. I like it when time travel is used to drive/resolve the plot, which was the case here. I loved John Hurt telling the others they looked silly pointing their screwdrivers (slightly spoiled by him doing the same thing to zap a dalek later on) and his scornful reaction to "timey-wimey". I'm pleased that they've undone RTD's 'all the Time Lords are dead and gone' without screwing the continuity of Ecclestone and Tennant's episodes. Somebody finally got a grip on the sound balancing too so I could actually hear the dialogue. I almost cheered when the countdown stopped at 5 seconds instead of 1 - that's a pet peeve of mine!

Baker Minor and McCoy were the Doctors of my childhood so maybe I just have lower standards than you oldies.

Cheers Tips. I never could work out what that song was about and I'm not sure it's any clearer now I know. I'll listen to it on the way to work and try to get my head round it.

Quote from: shaolin_monkey on 15 November, 2013, 12:24:28 PMI still love the fact that Brian May wrote a beautiful folk song about the curvature of space/time for 'A Night at the Opera'.   :D

Which song was that?

The last few pages of Insurrection had me welling up. Great storytelling from Abnett and McNeill, as always. Ordinary is wonderfully insanely marvellous. Slugs for hair!

Check out the names on the badges on the last page of Judge Dredd (not Dredd). A nice touch considering the week it goes on sale.

It's a long time since I played this but I think there's someone in Caldera with 5000 cash you can sell expensive items to.

I've just read this whole thread and the one JBC linked to in an *ahem* enhanced state of mind, with the collected edition to hand, and I think I need to have a little lie down.

It's a bloody brilliant comic though.

New editions of the Great Game and The Courtship of Jena M will be released in 2014.

For real? Really for reals? Like, rilly? I want to have your babies.

As for Fetish I remember writing to the Meg at the time saying, amongst other things, how much I liked Siku's exaggerated chin. Did John complete the script before the art difficulties prompted the reduced in length? That would be an interesting read.

Nice. I'm pleased to learn there's a proper sausage-fest collection of Button Man without the 'next generation' spin-off. I'll be buying that.
