Ok, ok...I TRIED not to watch it but a mate gave me a copy on DVD and after a few pints (see my Thread about having thin blood) I sat down and watched it.
I'm soooo weak and spineless.

It's...ok.

Not great.

Just ok.

Definatly aimed at 8 year olds as they say. Some good lines although the whole thing feels rushed (well The Doctor bits anyway).

Effects..um..7 out of 10..maybe 5 or 6.

Mind you I HAVE been drinking & its not the "proper" thing, some bits you can see that the characters have been "added".


The TARDIS interior set is VERY much like the old 60's movie version though...which isnt THAT bad a thing.
As a BIG fan overall I'd say it beats Encounter At Farpoint or MOST 1st episodes of Sci-fi series but still alittle clunky but then it is early days.

If pushed I'd say I enjoied Spearhead From Space more as a 1st "new" Doctor episode.
