I thought it would be a lark to take that prog with me to the US and take a photo with the real thing as a backdrop.

Some native american dude decided to do the ultimate in one-upmanship, and started building a far larger monument of http://www.crazyhorse.org/" target="_blank">Crazy Horse a few miles down the road.

It's taking rather a long time (58 years since blasting began) as the people building it are refusing federal funding on the basis that, well, fuck 'em, you know?

 IIRC in the Dredd strip Mt Rushmore, inexplicably (ie: Pat Mills wanted to use it in the story but didn't expect 70's preteen boys to be clued up on US geography), isn't in South Dakota anymore.
