BBC commenting on the way people are perceiving 2016...

Have more famous people died in 2016 than normal?

I'd like another novel... there's lots to explore in the setting even if Gene the Hackman's story ever ended.

My review of Fiefdom https://judgetutorsemple.wordpress.com/2014/06/13/fiefdom-by-dan-abnett-nik-vincent-spoiler-light/

Good to see the fundraiser doing so well. No sick pay for Freelancers... I can't imagine the extra stress I woulda had during my 8 week hospital stay n similar length recovery at home if I'd not had sick pay to cover bills.

I'm having to wait till payday to chip in and given the season I doubt I'm alone. Share the link if you can.

Actually ignoring the date change... city centre is actually warmer than New Dock usually.

Mixed feelings...

Royal Armouries is almost home from home for me and I know that Thought Bubble has helped with extra donations and shop 'footfall' etc.

But the new location will give a higher level of publicity. Amazing how many of my fellow locals haven't even heard of Thought Bubble.

I might expand my thoughts on my blog when I get it restarted.

Joe Dever, author of the Lone Wolf gamebooks. Only 60.

Dammit,

Robin

I missed this. That's pretty sad :(

Given Johnny's background I'd expect an educated accent with b the edges knocked off. My Spoiler Free Review could include what circumstances thought vof the film accent... but is that a Spoiler? *snigger*

I'm struggling at the moment.  Thought Bubble was a lovely island of freedom from it - but that's gone and I'm back where I was.

Currently it's my physical health causing most coffee my depression. I've been very ill with three months in Hospital earlier this year, many on here know about that. It isn't essential to know what is wrong but you can read the gory facts here

I'm still in a mess physically though much stronger and mostly back at work (off sick today due to physical issue and more so the depression it is causing).

I long to be normal and in this physical sense there is such a normal that people can expect to have.

But I know I have Depression and I know it is a fickle thing.  Like Tordel I often get bouts of depression about my kids, who are the best thing in my life. I had custody of them after my divorce and if I hadn't I'd never have made it.

I often feel my mental illness has ruined my childrens' lives.  They don't. I dwell on minute details, of single events where I think I failed them. They don't. Not only don't they dwell on those events they don't even remember them or do remember and don't think I did anything wrong.

There are a few that I know did affect them and oddly I cope with those better. I say 'oddly' but those ones have been addressed, so I guess that's why I cope with those better. They are very small in number and the ones that torture me are far more in number.

So I know that my Depression isn't always based on things that are real. Though the big bit at the moment is... Sadly neither of those things helpn when I'm in a full blown Depression...

I had a great time and it has helped ease the pain of missing this year's Lawgiver (for anyone that doesn't know I run Panels there and help out with 'stuff' through the c day).

Loved seeing lots of you there.  Always a great time chatting in the pub and passing time of day as we bump in to each other around the venue.

The Search Destroy film was brilliant. Better still as I was sat next to John Wagner on Saturday and got to hear his first impressions throughout, all positive by the way.

I plan to do a writeup and a Spoiler Free review of Search Destroy to kick-start writing on my Blog again.

Really looking forward to catching up with lots of you!

I'm not doing my Reviews Booklet this year as I simply haven't reviews enough. Being in hospital really messed my year up.

I usually full the weekend getting people to autograph my review of their work so I'll have a ridiculous amount of spare time probably. So those of you with tables might get me hovering around even though I've not reviewed you much if at all...

I commented on the RIP thread.

Steve Dillon was in my Top 11 Comic Artists to influence me getting in to comics. Sad loss.

Abslom Daak is one of my favourites.
