I come from a Christian background myself, and I don't interpret that stuff so literally. Besides, it's not like a reflected light is any less of a light.
They make the rest of us look bad.

I know how that guy feels. In my first year at infants school I had a disagreement with the teacher during a quiz when I tried to argue that the moon isn't actually white, it looks white from Earth due to the light of the sun reflecting on it. It doesn't look white if you are walking on it.

My son saved someone's life today.
A pensioner went off the edge of the train platform on his mobility scooter and landed on the tracks. He and his friends climbed down onto the tracks and rescued him before the train arrived.

That's an amazing thing to do.   Congrats.
