There's another BICS thread going on over here, which people might want to check out.

Disney are claiming that they took such attempts into account when they purchased Marvel?
They are, yes.  Nat Gertler has written a decent article on the situation.

I'm just waiting for a confirmation e-mail!

And we're confirmed. Unfortunately, the Paypal shopping cart for the BICS tickets seems to be on the blink now. I can get tickets on the door, can't I?
As I understand it, you definitely can't pick up pre-bought tickets on the door.  I don't know about buying them on the door.

(This post is dedicated to anybody who had to read a double page spread in a graphic novel twice, because they didn't realise they were meant to be 'reading in widescreen!')

This is particularly frustrating when reading digital comics.  My laptop's screen is too small to read comics portrait, so I rotate them (and my laptop) by 90 degrees, to make better use of the space.  I'll often not notice until the second page of the spread that I missed context for the first page, and then have to rotate, set to double page, read, set to single page, rotate.  Grr.

Hmm, I just remembered that I normally go to the Iona Abbey Student Week during my Easter break, so I'll have to wait on the dates for that before committing.

On the bright side, it's possible I could be in Scotland around the time of Hi-Ex anyways...

I've lost track of who I'm meant to be contacting if I want in.  Is there even still space?

I'm another one who regularly gets stuff from them through Amazon and I've found them to be excellent... although I've not had to deal with their customer services. The worst I can say is that they might not be quite as fast as they were, but not to the point that it's at all an issue.

Is it possible that there's a difference in the way they post Amazon orders and non-Amazon orders?

Went to about 4 places in Oxford today (I'm staying here with a friend) and finally found a copy in Borders.  Gave it to my friend to put in his bag, and now it's gone to work with him.  He should be back pretty soon though, then I'll have my proggy goodness.

This was just going to be black and white but colour can be fun too. Hope there's enough detail to honour Mr Flint's style.

I can't see anything here...

Hi villion,

I can't help you, I'm afraid, but welcome to the boards nonetheless!
