I picked this up yesterday and wondered why Keith Page could be credited for his meagre contribution but John Gillatt couldn't be credited for the much longer full colour episode.  It's not like Gillatt was an unknown one off pseudonym kind of guy from a studio in Europe or South America, he drew most of the sports stories in comics in  the 70s-90s, especially Billy's Boots and Roy of the Rovers, and Dan frigging  Dare in the 80s Eagle

Picked this up with the subs discount and what a great read it is too. Turbo himself is a bit of a rude dull twat but the art is great - some excellent aliens - and the rest of the cast seem far more interesting / fun (loner and kitten in particular).

One gripe would be the lack of artist identification - would have been nice to have given credits to each story even if just on the index. There are clearly more than a few artists involved and giving them recognition would have been appropriate and, frankly, informative.

But yeah it's silly, retro but really enjoyable. Defo down for the next collection.

Im definitely intrigued to read the solo adventures. Such an ambitious project

One of the things I enjoyed most about the collection is what a colossal arsehole Turbo is. And that's leaving aside his implicit but unaddressed arseholery,  such as performing unethical cybernetic experiments on chimps and then convincing them they're actually robots.

He's actually like a monument to show-not-tell. Dear old monkey is desperately telling the younger audience what is going on 'oh no we're about to crash into the planet' and Arsehole Jones is like 'shut up, you're a robot' every.single.time.

It's great.
