Hey Thrill Seekers!
After possibly one of the best weeks of my life ( sitting in a room watching Carlos work, AND looking through all his beautiful art ), I've compiled the first listing of Art for sale from Carlos.
It's available as an Excel Document, and Jps are available on request.
Send me an email at rufusdayglo@yahoo.co.uk if you're interested!
all the best,
Rufus

One day, one day....
I thought you might need some torturing Jon! ;-) R
Damn your eyes Dayglo!!!
And when Mr Rufus receives my cheque in the post tomorrow, this will be mine, har, har, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... etc.
Now that is a fine piece of work. Looks better than in colour too (no offence)

I dunno, on the basis of the images posted here I'm starting to think a lot of Carlos' work would be best off left as B&W. Obviously, his recent run on ABC Warriors doesn't count because that was just ... er ... naff.
Roadhouse was in B&W - very nice it was too. Personally, so long as it's Stront, I really dont care how he does it!
Viva la B&W!
arghhhhhGGGleeeeee ! how cool is that Koburn one ?
wowee. hope Thargs organised extra Thrill buffers around oxford.

I'd have to agree. His colours have improved immeasurably since early experiments like "Wilderlands", but his B&W work just has so much more punch.
I'd be interested to see what someone like Chris Blythe could do with Carlos' art - though I doubt it will happen.
...that should have read "computer colours".
By god Rufus! That Koburn artwork is amazing...
yes, it is rather good...
And in colour!
Blimey, is that the original with speech bubbles & hand coloured & everything ?
has he inked first & coloured washed over or painted it all ? damnit wheres my magnifying glass.
For grud sake Rufus! Stop damn you!!
I've no bloody money!
Heya Bou, He's inked B&W, then gone over with coloured inks. The text is on acetate. stops me dribbling on it...
:-) r
i think you may need to hire body guards & a dribble proof table cover for dredd-con... in fact, some-one warn oxfords banks, ah i can smell the singeing credit cards of fanboys already.
smug that i shan't be there to be tempted ha ha ha ( sob ) Bou. ;P
Lovely work. I loved his colour work on stuff like Inferno (even if the story was shit!) and it must be a treat seeing it up close.
Am I correct in thinking he did a lot of his colour work with markers? ISTR an interview where he said this was the case...
Carlos's early Colour Annual work was done with Pantone Markers. He then moved to Colour Inks to get more painterly effects in the later Eighties.

How much does a page of Carlos black and white art tend to go for?
Varies.
I brought back a selection of Art from the Kingdom of Carlos, but most of it is Splashes and the Nicer pages!
I do have more recent art, which is cheaper than the vintage pieces, which are understandably more sought after.
Email me, and I'll send you the first list.

Rufus --
I suspect it might be out of my price range - and he may be far too busy with regular work - but does Carlos do commissions?
Yes, I did ask, and depending on Deadlines he will do commissions.
:-) rufus
Christ almighty, stop with the pages!!
Rufus, did you get any of his Star Wars pages by any chance?
Rufus --
Cool. I'll drop you a line off-board with a couple of other questions, if that's OK.

Cheers Rufus!
I'm interested, but it won't be until Santa has been and gone.
No Problem Rac,
I'll be making short lists to release at intervals, so people can get something they want, and to allow lots of people to get an opportunity to buy a piece. So...no panic!
;-) R
See you at Dreddcon.... :-) Rufus
Rufus, post more pages! I'm getting a kick out of watching Rac screaming at you to stop.
No money either,
Grant
Glad I can help, Grant!!
Well, thanks to everyone for making it such a successful Dreddcon!
I'll be putting another list together in about 3 weeks. so drop me an email if you want to receive the list.
I'll also be doing lists for other artists.
Rufus, the seriously over committed....
Nevermind the art Rufus, you're body is a work of art in it's self!
I saw some of the Carlos and Flint work earlier today, beautiful stuff... But way out of my price range.
