Nothing I could do would make the shield sit in the right position, so I attached a small metal washer to Dredd's chest under his suit (just using a small piece of blu tack) in the correct position - sorted, badge attaches to that.

Great figure 3a - hope for more.

Great suggestion SIP'ster, thanks for the idea.
Walking into the "Collector Room", was enough vibration to upset the Shields position.
With some double-sided tape on a metal washer, placed under the "leathers" = PERFECT now!!.

If the ANDERSON rumours are true, should be very nice.
I pray to Grud Almighty it will be a "Debbie Harry" style, Bolland 1/6th.
If it's "3A female" long legs and enormous "parts" (TK Queeny), I'm out.

It worked really well on mine - glad it worked for you sir! 😆

Hes so good, i can't  be putting up with a misplaced shield.

3A have really excelled with big Dreddy.
I feel they put a LOT of thought and Engineering into him, maybe even listened to input from Squaxx  :D.
If the Badge/Shield needs a little mod to achieve "Comic accuracy", that's no big deal at all.
I'm getting that sinking feeling, 'pocalypse Dredd may be just as good  :-[.
May have to revise my opinion, when Squaxx start posting pic's of him  ;).

Krakajac

The only thing that wasn't on my wish-list...an additional Judge RICO badge.  Wouldn't have cost much to produce - but would have guaranteed a few more sales. :)

SHame sticking to my guns not buying 1/6th scale as he Does look awesome.
Reason being got to keep buying up the 1/12 Judges and Lawmasters you know hahaha

Though my awesome wife has told me she will get me one for either B'day or Xmas. Never said I wouldn't accept 1/6th as a gift ;)

Question though for you guys and gals with your 1/6th DREDD. Does he pose well? as everyone seems to have him in Vanilla poses. Can he double hand pistol grip his Lawgiver for instant?
Crouch/squat leg out poses to look like he is drawing his Lawgiver from his boot?

I guess I now need finish the 1/6th Comic LAWMASTER now if I am geting one lol

SIP

The body used on this figure is leaps and bounds ahead of the 1/12 version. Fully pose able with a nice smooth ratchet joint system. I was trying to pose my 1/12 Dredd next to him yesterday and his legs were wobbling all over the place.

So yes, poses well.

TordelBack

Gruddamnit they've tried to deliver Dredd to my house, but in a surprise to absolutely no-one at 8am on Monday morning I WAS AT WORK.  Now I must endure the dreaded twlight helltrek across the badlands to the Dublin 24 sorting office, virtually my second home since the advent of Kickstarter...

There is some restrictions in posing him due to the leathers, but maybe with repeated posings they might loosen up.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Thanks Filippo appreciate you taking the photos.

Not bad at all.

Can he point forward double grip the Lawgiver as Mezco Dredd can straight from the box? I know the 1/12 3a Couldnt quite do it without popping out of the torso.
I have put other bodies in the 3A suit and they CAN achieve forward double pistol grip posing. So 1/12 it is not the suit moreso design of the new Dredd body. Shame really as standard 3A bodies Can do this pose with no issues.

As 1/6th inheritantly have greater articulation, I am hoping it should Not be an issue. Just not sure as not seen anyone posing like that.

That's the best I can do without using something to hold the two hands together.

Thank You filippo. Again really appreciate you taking time to do this.

Looks like needs a sanding job on each pec to allow arms to come in closer. Its a quick and simple job. Had to do that with the 1/12 3a Dredds to get them to be able to double grip.

Just with this being 1/6th i actually figured that 3A would have had that covered this time round.

Glad to have helped :) Finally got a chance to play about with Dredd :)

It's a rubberised chest, not like the 1/12, so cutting him up will be a bit of a trauma. If you are going down that route I would just swap the body out entirely.

Thanks SIP, I think that is then the better idea to bin the 3a body in favour of an articulted one.

He's a fairly standard scale 1/6 body. I've had the figure  stripped down to the suit, but didn't go as far to fully remove the leathers as had no need to......but I think he would be relatively easy to swap out. Hand peg width is similar to hot toys, so don't think you'd need to do any drilling. His neck is part of the main torso (not seperate) with an internal neck joint. When I've modded these kind of bodies previously (been doing a lot of work on a range of 1/6 Indy figures recently) I've found that the most cost efficient suitable replacement  (if you don't want to shell out on a true type body) is the ZC Toys narrow shoulder muscular body (just search for that on ebay).  Good luck!

Anyway, Dredd is extremely happy alongside Chris and Harrison. Happy days.
