Really thorough videos of david yardin creating a comic book page. Its great because he talks through every step from drawing roughs to traditional inking.

Is it that multiple artwork submissions arent allowed? I remember reading someones post about how they sent 2 drawn submissions within months of each other and were asked not to send 2 at once?

yeah, if anyone has any tips for using dip pens/ nibs it'd be great to hear them. Cant seem to make them work for me.
Also is their a thread or link showing other earthlets Karn Foul Eye submissions? id love to see how other artists tackled the script.

Yeah youre right, I think i need to work on this. I inked this work mainly using a number 2 brush, I have tried a few different dip pen nibs but can never get a decent flow of ink. Do you have any recommendations for dip pens/nibs? - thanks for the link surfer, ill take a look.

thanks for the kind comments, when you spend half your life drawing its nice to know that people like your work! Looking at it now ive finished it, I wish id done some better work on the backgrounds. Mostly they look a little sparce and dont really add to the story. I think some of the camera angles could be more varied too. I gave myself a limited amount of time to work on the pages so thats that. Im glad the pages have been well received.

Hello all, ive just signed up here and wanted to hear your opinions and critiques on a sample ive been working on. Its The Collosal Wealth of Karn Foul Eye. Ive posted it off to Tharg but have a feeling its in a huge pile of other samples so Id love to hear what everyone thinks. The script is available to read in 2000ad submission scripts. Cheers

Borag Thungg,

Recently bought a copy of Judge Dredd megazine after many thrill-less years. I used to be infatuated with 2000 ad, my favourite characters being Slaine and Stront. Having read the Dredd Mag recently I was really impressed, specially by Number cruncher - most original concept ive read in ages and nicely illustrated. Love to hear what you fellow earthlets think I have missed out on in the last 7 or 8 years. What are your stand out characters/ plots?
