Hi guys.  Long time lurker, I've finally gotten round to registering.  Just couldn't resist the writing comps any longer. 
Am I the only one who has problems with the verification letters?  Begining to think I may actually be a spambot.

Hello and welcome.

Not sure what 'verification letters' means, but the Dredd movie announcement attracted quite a few spammers and trolls, so the mods were forced to impose a probationary period. Post for a while, prove you're not a total nuttjob and you'll be fine.
