Mrs Gunderson and friends are escorted home again. Meanwhile, Walter (far right) has gone for a racy red respray.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha.  Genius.  This would have been a much better billboard for the new Dredd film x
Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

I went along to FP in London today. I didn't have anything to sign (I'm not really into that and  it didn't even occur to me that you could ask the artists for a sketch but I doubt I'd have had the guts to ask for one) and to be honest I don't really know there faces so I didn't know who was who. I just went out of curiosity really, and to pick up a couple of things. I ended up spending a bit more money than I intended.

Anyway. Saw a few Southers there and guy in a gimp judge outfit. He was called Judge Birdy, or something like that, although he was definitely male. ;)

I noticed they had the Planet Replicas Lawgiver in one of the display cases near the entrance! (They had the Dredd badge too. The big version and the keyring.) I've seen pictures on-line, but it was nice to see the physical thing. A hefty piece. Waaay to expensive for me!

I actually came across the keyrings by accident near the signing area, just after I had got my other goodies*. It's something I have intended ordering for a while but never got round to it. I had no idea those would be there and just couldn't resist it. (Plus, save postage, if PR charge that.) At £9.99 it's the most expensive keyring I've ever bought but it's a thing of beauty and big and weighty by the standard of these things. (I'm pretty sure it's gold plated too.)

*Not related to this thread, but if you're interested it was copy #16 of Clint (I know, I'm behind, but I wanted to finish off Kick-Ass 2 and Superior. Not bad at all. Graveyard of Empires is boring me silly though.) and issue 8 of The Ultimate Graphic Novels collection. The Incredible Hulk: Silent Screams. I subscribed to this collection a while back... then stopped with the view of (possibly) continuing the collection as and when I wish rather than shelling out every month. Nice to see FP have a large collection of the back-issues.

I left pretty early as I felt a bit hot and light headed in there. I needed a drink. Goodness knows how Judge Tweety felt in his leathers.

I know we have a bit of a bromance going on, but I have to say, I frigging LOVE this photo of Burdis. It really reminds me of Brashill/Murray for some reason and everything about it is ace. I bet we see it photo riffed in a future prog...

Steve Green

Think that was Tony Richards took that, it's a great pic.

That pic is going down well with my family on Facebook. Cousin pimping it, his nephew liking it.

Dan Kelly

Was in town with the family so couldn't get to join in with the hi jinks personally, but did pop downstairs at FP London about 2pm - saw JB wandering around and Molcher corralling artists and writers - although Dan Abnett was just making his escape as I was there.

Queue looked to be a decent size as well.

Hey, in case you missed them I chucked my photos from the day here:

I don't usually do the asking artists for sketches thing but the 2000AD sketchbook was calling me.

Here is what I got:

Clint Langley

Lee Townsend

Ben Willsher

Dave Gibbons

John Higgins

Simon Spurrier (there were some crazy things being drawn by this man in quite a few sketchbooks!)

Good find. I liked the bit when they saw me again in Trafalgar Square!
