Bat King

Following Fourth Faction and Endgame this concludes the Day of Chaos storyline.

In fact it opens up more storylines, one leading to Titan. The other being SovSec, Mega-City Two and more about Dredd's bloodline.

High page count for the Carroll Droid.

Snekking typo in the heading... Need a Mod to fix that...

I am really looking forward to this one. Anything that features Dolman or anyone else from the Fargo/Dredd bloodline is a winner in my book.
Whatever happened to Rico, Dolman and Cadet Paris? I'm sooo out of the loop.

I think Mike has done a great job with his handling of Dolman. I would like to see him do a story with the full family involved. Rico, Dolman & Uncle Joe - something to do with Vienna but not directly. Not a 'Vienna gets in trouble again' story.

I will definitely have to pick this one up, I really enjoyed the DoC arc so far and hopefully this should be as good. I'm guessing I would've probably read most of the stuff to be included (I jumped on board at prog 1600), but nonetheless, still excited.

Oops, a little correction, jumped on board from prog 1800 onwards, not 1600.

By the way, excellent informative review as always, Batking!

This came in the post on Thursday and I'm working my way through it. Not rushing, just taking my time. The first thing that comes to mind is that Dolman, if he hadn't quit the Academy, would totally have been a hands-on-hips "Judge Dredd is here!" tough but fair kind of Judge. It's also really weird how his beard and hair colour don't match.

Why? My beard isn't the same colour as my hair...

Nor mine. Nor indeed most of the beardy folk I know.

Although mine are converging: once a fiery orange face-fungus, in contrast to my shit-brown head hair, both now march inexorably towards total white-out.

Bat King

Yeah that is when they tend to match up. Though some people with VERY dark hair do sometimes have matching beard n head.

But yeah, Dolman's fuzz mismatch is authentic & shows that the Blythe droid knows which crayons to pick.

Because Dolman's russet barnet isn't his real hair colour. Like all Fargo clones, Dolman has naturally dark colouring; his hair's that colour now because he's worth it:

Also he might be the son of Robert Baretheon...
