I have SO not heard of it, I genuinely thought for a moment that Rebellion were doing an original graphic novel. Looks fab though!

2020s. Because the best 2000AD is always current 2000AD, and no matter how zarjaz the past, it will always top it down the line.

The Out.

Best new Thrill since... well, Brink, probably.

I have to give this to Hope. The first two series were incredible... this current one not so much, it's true, but I have high hopes for the future.

Yep, it's diminishing returns with Bad Company, with every series being worse than the last. The most recent strips have been insultingly dreadful.

I've recently read the majority of Strontium Dog over the past couple of years. Starting from the post-death reboot, going to the end and then starting from the Starlord originals. While it's a great series and a huge part of my childhood (I currently wear a Stronty badge on my daily hoody that came with a huge batch of badges from a kind soul here) I found the earliest stuff quite a slog.

Except Bad Boys Bust, which is every bit as magnificent as it was all those years ago over rice crispies before school.

I absolutely loved the reboot though.

As for Ant Wars- it's giant bloody ants killing people! It doesn't get better than that. There should be giant insects killing people in every prog. It's a staple. Which is why new comic 'Endangered' is so good and why I read it thinking it really should have been in the prog.

But really, in this case, it's Strontium Dog.

Didn't Atavar get a reprint in thr floppies? But since we are talking about proper bookshelf editions, I would have to cry out for:

The Complete Sinister Dexter
Complete Vector 13
Mek Files volumes 4 onwards.

With special mention made for a hardback Shako, with special white furry slipcase that features a rubber bear paw tearing through the front and the logo stained in red ink on the fur.

I think my love for the ABCs runs too deep to choose- and I'm still angry that a Mek-Files 4 hasn't appeared. And also, all respect to Pat, but everyone knows the best ABCs story is Red Planet Blues by Mr Moore.

But I'm voting the Meknificent Seven, despite loving the strip to the very end.

ACE TRUCKING! for giving me more joy than Zenith ever did.

I find Survival Geeks unreadable I'm afraid- so I have to close my eyes and hold my nose and vote Robo-Hunter... as pong as it's understood I'm mainly voting for The Beast of Blackheart Manor.

Joe Pineapples: Tin Man (A.B.C. Warriors)
by Pat Mills, Simon Bisley, et al.
Out: 27th January 2023
ISBN: 978-1786184931

Joe Pineapples: Tin Man (A.B.C. Warriors)
Stranded for millions of years on an asteroid is hard work – especially when you only have a sewage droid for company! A.B.C. Warrior and ace robotic sniper, Joe Pineapples, looks back over his life as he seeks to unravel the mystery and the meaning behind an I.D. plate that he has carried around since his days as an X-terminator fighting in the Volgan War.

With a cover photo that I can't add here. So I guess that means it's in the prog sometime soon!
