...does anyone know how to download and save favourite clips from You Tube onto computer for playback on ones jolly old Media Player??? ta...

Personally I use the Ook add-on for Mozilla Firefox. Very simple to use, one click saves the video.

the saved flc files can be played right off by everyone's favourite & best media player, VLC..

Does anybody remember the widowmaker pump shotgun thingy from JUDGEMENT DAY?

Anybody got a picture of it, please?
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

Is it possible to "record" from You Tube, into another format?
For example, if I download a videoclip, and want to save the audio only as an mp3 file?
Likewise, if I play netradio, can I record it as an mp3? What software do I need?
Cheers

If you copy and paste the url of the clip you want saved into the little box here: http://vixy.net/ it'll convert the youtube video into any format you  choose from the pull-down menu (iPod compatible Mpeg4, mp3 audio, Avi, etc) and download it to your pc.

Fantastic! Thanks to that link I was able to convert a great live Nick Cave performance to MP3.
Nice one.
