I guess they're kind of retro futurist/art nouveau type things: I always felt there was a kind of backward-looking-ness about the regime in the comic, harking back to a cosy 1950s ideal which I thought would be a shame to lose in the film, but I guess these reflect that quite well. I seem to remember in some of the set snaps the 'Voice Of Fate' was being promoted by retro posters, I guess it's like a pastiche of that.

I'm not getting my design history (or spelling) right, on closer inspection I'd say:

Poster 1 = Art Nouveau/Art Deco
Poster 2 = Russian revolutionary posters/Expressionism
Poster 3 = Art Nouveau
Poster 4 = Russian revolutionary posters/Expressionism

As shite as the film might (probably will) be, these posters look f**kin awesome!

Call me an optomist but I just can't fault the trailer.

Yeah. Get me a poster even if I never live to see the film. Definatley worth mounting, too.No biggy just straight forward poster mounting. On a hook. ?6;99. Cheap affair.

Seriously be looking out for one of these for the new flat after the new year.

House of Usher

I'd say that of the lot, the second one, the red one, looks the most commercial. The rest look as if they're intended to put off the general movie-goer. Still very nice though, maybe as a set of postcards.
STRIKE !!!

Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

I reckon these are more for the fans, we'll have a more generic cinema poster at time of release, like the one's released before these.
