Or on the other hand, if you are anything like my Father-in-law, the warfarin will leave you unable to play with a puppy for five minutes without turning into anextra from the Walking Dead...

Tim, glad to hear you are making it to more stable land, health-wise.

he has mu sympaties those teethe are sharp! tbh I haven't noticed much difference in clotting times (not that itimed myself before) I cut myself shaving yesterday and assumed there'd be a deluge, however my gums sometimes bleed when cleaning my teeth and there seemed to be a lot today! missed a hospital apt on Monday so it'll be interesting to see what my irn is this week.

It is listed as a potential side effect of the steroids, I was just unlucky enough to be on the receiving end of one of the more severe side effects. I certainly don't attach any blame to my Doctor, who has previously helped a lot with my M.E.

A friend of mine suffered with (what was diagnosed at the time as) M.E. for most of her 30s & 40s.  Later it turned out she'd been suffering from organophosphate poisoning.

I have no doubt that you've already run the whole gamut of potential cures (just like she did) but I'd recommend looking into OP tests if you haven't already.

If they get your dosing stable you'll hopefully be less funny.

Funnily enough I work for one the main software companies in the field now.  I'm not metal, just a dev but get to see the processes for induction and stability.  Interesting stuff.

Medical not metal.  Bloody auto correct.

Does that mean you are metal then?  Or should that be METAL!?

BUGGER!  my irn has dropped to a worrying 1.4 ( to about what it would be if I wasn't on warfarin) so they upped my tablets and given me a weeks worth of clexane injections to give myself...not sure why its gone down so dramatically and don't want them clots coming back so,hey ho! ( wifes freaking out about me jabbing myself already)

it can take a while to level.  Some people never really seem to.  I have an uncle who's just never really nailed it where many other family members seemed to stabilise during their induction and stay there.

I was wondering that, like the body's trying to figure out why its not clotting as fast? my bro-in-law got a clot in his leg from an operation just before me and his shot up to 4.5 and I think he's ahd a 1.2
ah well only another 5 months to go (I hope) ;)

cheers, my other blood tests are ok so that's something, and I did find if I jabbed myself with both injections on one side it doesn't sting for as long afterwards :D

I've developed a perianal abscess - nothing serious but literally a huge pain in the arse. Nurse practitioner gave me antibiotics but says if it isn't clearing up after 48 hours, I need to go to A&E to get it sliced open and drained :o
