Cheers, Huffy - in fact, the pain disappeared as quickly as it came and I'm as back to normal as I'm ever going to get. According to the sawbones, with whom I had a 'phone appointment with earlier today*, it was probably a trapped nerve.


*Brilliant, these modern medics, how they can diagnose at a distance. Must be some kind of telepathic allopathy (teleallopathy? there's a Dredd strip in there somewhere...).

Thanks, Paddy. Luckily, the Sharkshed has no steps - but it also has no toilet so I've been hobbling over to the bog block and back with a walking stick like a 90 year old incontinent. Ah Dignity, why hast thou forsaken me?

Went to the sawbones with it a couple of months ago. He gave me some exercises to do which eased the condition somewhat but this morning it just suddenly felt like I'd been kicked by a donkey. Maybe I twisted it in my sleep or something. Anyway, a good excuse for kicking back with a prog or two :-)

Just started season three of For all Mankind. This is one of my favourite shows of modern times (stemming from the premise "what if the U.S.S.R. got to the Moon first?"). If you haven't seen it, have a go!

The inclusion of Ray Harryhausen's troglodyte in a couple of backgrounds made me smile - but it's not a film for smiles apart from that little homage. If Hell exists, then this film nails it. Definitely one I'll be watching again.

I always suspected The Sandman was pretentious but was never well read enough to know for sure. This never stopped me from enjoying it, however, and even inspired me to write tons of pretentious bobbins of my own* without the least bit of embarrassment. I mean, what's the point of being an writist if one can't pretend to be better than one is?

Anyhoo, I enjoyed the comics and I enjoyed this series.
