Thank you, yes I am keeping an eye on that thread also, but new news is lost in there. So just wanted to post the latest updates I find on the web, that are not clearly seen here.
Maybe we could have a restricted post with links to news and no discussions in the same thread.

As things progress it would be great to be able to go to the thread and see what is happening.

This is the bit that really interested me:
Judge Dredd: Mega City One doesn't currently have a network attached, but the project is being developed by IM Global and Rebellion. It is also said that the show will center around a group of Judges, as opposed to just Judge Dredd, so that could help alleviate the workload and make Karl Urban's involvement a more real possibility. The good news is, at least for now, it is on the table.

This would be perfect in my oppinion.
1) We get Karl Urban as Dredd (a must in my book).
2) We also get a show that has episodes about other judges - this allows the TV show to better deal with the pro's and con's of being a judge. Not every judge is a 'super-cop' like Dredd and their weaknesses will better add to the character of Dredd when he is in the episode.

A great Win-Win approach if the team can get it.

   I dug out my old boxed set RPG last night. Amazingly everything was still there

   Does anyone have access to a copy of the out of print scenario that came out at the same time? I think it was called Judgement day! Is it available on pdf or something - I know this is a long shot for a 32 year old scenario but hey - I may as well ask!!

a new film it might require a slight redesign of the look as the specific designs from the 2012 version are the previous studio's copyright.

This is the one line that would have me worried.

Dredd was so brilliant compared to the awful version before because they had the right look and feel (not to mention the perfect casting).

Hopefully, as you said, that would not be the studio's copyright - maybe the redesign of the lawmaster bike would be but that was not a great design anyway.

I guess the only real win/lose on this project would be if they could not get Karl Urban to play Dredd.
I know it sounds odd but Dredd is not an easy roll to act. You have to find a way to connect with the audience while at the same time playing a stone faced, emotionless judge who does not take his helmet off and express himself beyond the code of the law - something Karl did an awesome job with   (unlike the nightmare that was 'I am the lure' stallone!)

I am still no wiser on the whole Dredd 2 issue.
Can someone just answer me this one question:

Is the only hold up on us finally getting a sequal, money?

If someone fronted up $40M USD, is this a go? or is something else stopping it?
