Christmas Day Doctor Who: Should I Watch It?

The Cardiff reoccurence was due to the rift as seen in the 'zombie' episode.  The rift was still there in the future as a 'weakness' which a nuclear explosion could exploit to destroy the entire planet, the resulting shockwave could then be 'surfed' to reach future galaxies, etc.

BUT Dr Who IS now a major force again, well known, well loved with zillions of kids buying related toys and stuff

so, would you rather have had an alternate ending to the re-launch of dr who ?
