And on sort of that note- the Chinese Herbalism Center in town here- that specialises in "balancing the body" and all that mystical shit- is shut. "Because of internal problems" says the sign. Which made me laugh.

The re-landscaping of the church garden across the road is now more or less finished.I have to say i was dreading the worst* from a design point of view as i was guessing it would not compliment the architecture of the church which is Regency in style and as its a formal building the garden needed to have some kind of formality about it.

Luckily it does look good and it is lit up at night with small spotlights that are all the way around the perimeter and 3 raised beds nearest the church planted with small saplings.I like gardens lit up at night.

Its a rectangular lawn with a herringbone brick path with wooden benches all the way round.The only downswide is the benches are like a plank of wood with nothing to lean back on.I dont have a garden so this is my garden in effect that i use and its like i have had my garden relandscaped for nothing.Thats what it feels like.

Definately a vast improvement.

*I wish i was proved wrong more often.

Stage 3 of our bathroom transformation project is complete and it looks fantastic.

Gone is old bath and tired small white tiles and in place is a nice big shower, some great big warm tiles and a loo and handbasin built into a unit.

Looks grand it does. I'm having a crap in it just now.

I discovered a fantastic takeaway burger joint close to where i am working this afternoon quite by accident as i was posting a card two doors up on behalf of someone else.Its been there about 3 years and i didnt even know about it as its tucked away down a small side street.From the outside its easy to miss it or think that its not very good as it doesnt look much but i tried one this afternoon and its the best takeaway burger i have ever had.It was real meat that was unfrozen instead of that tasteless frozen pap that you usually get in takeaways and real blue cheese instead of that fake blue cheese sauce that you always get plus it was very reasonable and the guy working in their was chatty and friendly.I am picky about what i eat especially meat so its good to eat a takeaway and feel that i am eating something wholesome and healthy instead of feeling like i shouldnt be eating it or disliking it.


Apparently they do the worlds hottest chilliburger or the chilli sauce which is so hot that if you order one you have to sign a disclaimer.

tomorrow is the last day when the special needs nursing team is together before the end of term so we will be doing our secret santa and munching on several large domino pizzas (blood may be spilt over the pepperoni) the only down side is i got our new boss so no comedy (rude) pressies this year!

I have acquired my Prog 2011.  All that remains is for me to decide at what exact moment I will open it, and allow Christmas to begin!
