Hi folks, just been doing a reread of some old progs and looking at some old letters pages the Earthlet Floyd Kermode who lived in Japan seemed to suddenly stop writing his very regular letters into the Prog. Still relatively new to this board was just wondering if anyone knew where he went as a he was a very prolific writer to the Tharg over the years. Used to enjoy reading his thoughts on all things 2000ad much like I do with you good people on this forum.

I believe that Button Man took his marker.

*Apologies to Floyd if he lost a finger in a kitchen accident in real life.

lol. Button Man now there is a whole other thread. Where on earth did that proposed film production go? A Younger Brian Dennehy (of Rambo first blood, FX and Cocoon fame) would be the perfect Button man

Proudhuff

Doesn't he do Film reviews for the BBC now?
DDT did a job on me

Floyd was once 'Mr Letters'but he has since lost ground to a young upstart. Word is that he lives in a cave in Drongo Springs, plotting his comeback.

A previous Kermode thread: Calling Floyd Kermode
An article written about letter writers: Heroes of 2000AD
A previous article about letter writing

I was looking for a fairly recent series of articles about how to get your letter published in 2000AD, and I was sure that Floyd was one of the contributors.

He posted on the thread about Edmund Bagwell's passing. I guess he just doesn't feel like posting here any more.

When was his last letter?

His last letter was in the original Prog 2010 published at the end of 2009.

There was also a fine series of articles by Trout from this parish that includes Floyd in Part 3.
