Dredd/Death question
« on: 01 September, 2003, 04:42:56 AM »
Quick question, I am sorry if it has come up before. I see from the e-comic that Judge Anderson is in the Dredd/Death story. But if memory serves, she was dealt with by the dark Judge already. Why is she in the game if she is supposed to be in a coma?

The game is set in 2122 (IIRC), before the events in My Name is Death....

Thanks Watcher.
BTW, what does (IIRC) mean?

The question is, is the game going to fit into Dredd continuity?

Or is the comic just been produced for non Dredd fans to give them a taster of Dredds world?

I just hope that the e-comic doesn't end in a life or death cliffhanger with the legend, "Now what will Dredd do???" as other advertisements have done in the past. I'm thinking of the Rocket Ranger strip that ended on a similar cliffhanger...

McNulty - I really don't see where else this story can go... it's being released a page per week leading up to the games release & seems to have the same kinda plot - they're not going to finish it without you buying the game now are they?

Did anyone buy that Rocket Ranger game and was it any good ? I couldn't because I only had a speccy at the time and didn't get an ST 'til 3 years later.
"Is there a problem here ?"

Heh, if that kind of ending is good enough for Mortal Combat the Movie (or "Morgahal Kombagt!", as the 90s Techno tune would have it)  then its good enough for a Dredd Vs Death promotional comic.

No. I think Dave Stevens sued the arse off the company.

Or should have.

Even the cover had a Bettie Page lookalike on it.

I had the Rocket Ranger game for the Amiga, which I had at the time. I stress I didn't buy it because of the promotional comic strip (Which I believe ran in 2000AD if I remember correctly). I did actually enjoy the game - daredevil jetpacker who flew accross the world thwarting the NAZI forces at every turn. I never could completely save the world though...I enjoyed saving the girl in any case!
