I've read the first 1000 progs and then from 1950 onwards, so Nikolai Dante is one of those thrills that I've read very little about (same with stuff like Red Seas, Caballistics, and the vast majority of Sinister Dexter, among others). Really excited to get there, enjoyed this episode!

When you're slogging through Babe Race 2000 and Big Dave, and wondering whether you really want to continue this podcasting lark, stay strong and remember that Nikolai Dante is just around the corner.

Hey at least when its rubbish there's a lot to discuss!

You never know, you might be a freak like me who loved Big Dave.

Really enjoyed the latest podcast; I'm also a big fan of John Burns and only really got into Dante at that point of the saga.

Cosplayer Matt Davies joined me at the Lawgiver convention in May to discuss the fourth volume of Dredd's Restricted files and in particular that Dredd of Drokk Green story. Check out Matt's video channel on youtube.

Sweet! I have very fond memories of that Alternity special.  That's today's work listening sorted

Restricted Files 4 is a bold choice for the book club! I thought I picked some obscurities but I've got nothing on this.
I would say that 80% of the collection is...
not very good.
But I thought you both made great points about the inherent fun of exploring 'what ifs' through the lens of Dredd, and Drokk Green is one of the better ones for sure.

Episode 77 and I'm chatting with new art droid Paul Williams about the magnificent Mazeworld from Alan Grant and Arthur Ranson, and also about Paul's experience of winning the 2000AD art competition at Thought Bubble last year, and his upcoming series for the Meg.

A Halloween special as Mr Jim Moon from the Hypnogoria podcast joins me with a Treasury of British Comics release from last year, the fangtastic Dracula File.

Nice! I love Dracula in comics! In Marvel comics Dracula was the head bad guy in a little section monsters and ghosts in the 70s and 80s, that was still part of the larger superhero world. It's where the character Blade came from! My guy Doctor Strange fought Dracula twice, and the second time cast a spell that destroyed all the vampires in Marvel for a couple years, but of course they always come back. All that to say, I'm very interested to hear this episode.

I know Thirteen Floor and Monster got all the attention at the time, but I really loved Scream!'s version of Dracula.  Probably Eric Bradbury's magnum opus (though I've only seen his Scream! and 2000AD stuff - did he get anything in Eagle in the early 1980s?

Yes he did some Doomlord
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.
