Charley's War French Edition

Volume 4 is out. As I prefer the general look of Titan edition (oversized format, nicer cover, dust jacket, canvas hardcover with silver titles) and the great work they have already done, I think it's worth pointing out that with this French 4th volume, all the material comes from original source material, and all the colored pages are present (27 pages).

Wow somewhere between these two series there is the perfect edition. Still we have to be grateful that we have the almost complete story, last one in November I hope, in the editions we do, which reproduction (at times) aside, are pretty wonderful.

I totally agree with that. The Titan books editions is overall stunning.

Volume 5 is out since 22rd of October. Stunning reproduction again, and it was probably the volume that Titan had the most difficulty to work with good source material (it's murky from start to finish). Also by comparing the two editions, I have realized that two pages of the penultimate strip have been switched in my copy of the Titan edition (it is corrected in the French edition). Many thanks for that- duly noted and a little post-it placed in my reading copy. Not sure how I managed to miss that on my last pass- maybe I didn't, but forgot to note it. Those French editions are lovely- it's baffling that we didn't get similar treatment here. Though I dislike the replacement of the printed logos with the "correct" one.
