I've been strung along long enough now. I hope nothing ever gets revealed, this is much more fun than actual product!

General / iOS App Battery Shaming
01 October, 2014, 10:43:32 PM
Noticed a bit of a drain on the old iPad this evening, so launched the battery usage app. I read one Prog and the movie spin off in the Meg, and I used 64% of my battery?

Ios 8.0.2 iPad 2.

We always say that it's not Dredd, but Mega City 1 that is the main character of the series. How about we just kill MC1 and have a final scene of Dredd in the ashes.

Next week. Mega City 1.1

Ok. Dredds dead. What now?

Would you re-boot and start again?

I'd be happy to see Joe die, but don't think I'd ever want to continue reading about MC1 without Joe.

I enjoyed the show. And as with others felt it dragged a little until the restaurant scene. Loved when the Doctor pined for Amy's long legs.

I like a good RPG and Soul Sacrifice has been on my radar, but I haven't tried it yet.
Along with Persona 4, I'm playing through FFX HD on the Vita at the moment.

I'm playing Rogue Legacy on the Vita. It's cross buy/save and I am finding the text really fiddly to read on the Vita, but the game play is fun.

A cross between Ghosts 'n Goblins and Spelunky, you're a Knight battling through the family castle to find riches, spells and armour.

I listen to audio books at bed time.

Started life as a Draightsman and needed more than the R4 Afternoon play to distract me during inking in. Turned to Books For The Blind at the library during the 80's, and books on CD in the early 90's. I now buy two books a month from Audible.co.uk - always great to get a 30 hour unabridged book.

Excellent sound quality on the writers panel from Bristol Con. Quality work.

Also really interesting to hear the writers process and the different approaches for different publishers.
Hadn't ever thought that plotting for 2KAD, you could never allow for page turns and double page spreads - as you never knew where you'd be printed in the comic.

Also really interesting to hear that writing with digital in mind tends to remove the double page spread too - shame. I can't be the only one who wants an 11" iPad.

Have to agree with Andrew and Proteus - excellent interview of Mills - seemed to cover a lot if stuff I hadn't heard before - lovely detail stuff about layouts, and the grief around censorship.
Any chance of a similar length interview of Wagner next?

Really loved the question from current 2KAD artist of Mills - a show of Mills answering question from prog droids would be a well spent hour.

I understand using a real name isn't always possible, but it was something I really liked about the G+ community - still there are spammers and trolls and Russian brides on there too.
I've just had to submit to a security clearance check where they insisted on all the forums and usernames I used on the internet. Made it quite clear that employers are looking at this more and more.
Saves me having to tell them I'm a performance poet if they've seen the YouTube videos.
