Looking forward to diving into LOTF after picking up a complete run cheap recently and having only picked up a few issues on its initial release.

I'm curious to see how the '95 movie spinoff title holds up 22 years later!

If it doesn't include the Action Special – whatever was left-over after the comic was cancelled – it's not 'complete'.

It features a Wacky Races style Mega-City 5000.

Richard

Action Special isn't on Barney for some reason.

JOE SOAP

It's a comic that fell down the back of the sofa.

Yeah, cheers Joe!

Did my research and ordered that on eBay!  :)

There's some really good art in LOTF-just a shame it's the '95 movie uniform and its' Dredd has to find creative ways not to Hi-Ex perps!
It's a "kid's comic" after all!

That's why it only lasted 23 issues. If it had been more like the real Dredd it would have lasted longer.

Michael Carroll once said that LotF's Dredd was missing two key ingredients -- his balls.

The '95 uniform looks better in the comic than it does on-screen.

I don't know, the dreaded (or should that be Dredded?) codpiece of doom literally leaps out of the page with the more primary comic strip palette.
At least Adrian Biddle's rain soaked visuals do a better job of hiding it!

There's some really stand-out art in the Action Special with a better intro to Spikes Harvey Rotten.

And a very un-movie like Angel Gang.

That looks genuinely fantastic Joe!
Thanks for sharing!!!  :)

Cheap is the only way you can pick up LotF :D  Despite being tainted by association with the 1995 film, there is some real creative talent behind the comic.

Working through the issues.
Surprised to see John Wagner's name attached to so many of the stories-his workload must of been immense at the time!
Some good Gordon Rennie penned tales and lovely art from the likes of Jim Murray.
Many stories seem retooled from previous Prog tales, which imbue them with a nostalgic glow!
I do remember the Judge Death story from Robbie Morrison and Alex Ronald being particularly memorable at the time as these were the only issues I picked up on release.
So far, so interesting.

I've only read through the series once, and I didn't find it bad. Yes, it's a much softer take on Dredd, but quite a lot of the writing and art was perfectly decent.

That Action Special, though – I had no idea about its existence. Those scans suggest I need a copy.

Hang on!  What's Dezz Linkman saying in the second panel?  "The race was ONE by..."  One?  Tsk, tsk Tharg.  If you're aiming it at children, you could at least help them with their spelling.
