Here's some I've read this year...

Leviathan
Necronauts
Stone island
Maze world
Glimmer rats
(just ordered Carver Hale)

I'd say my favourite from that list is Glimmer rats. Any other good ones not on my list?

A few more:

Shadows
The Dead
Tribal Memories
Cradlegrave
Firekind

Meltdown Man.
A very long one-and-done (50 episodes!) and a shameless showcase for what Belardinelli was best at.

One of the few super-skinny Rebellion hardbacks from back in the day that I'm very glad I bought.

Greg M.

Danzig's Inferno. Maybe we'll see it appended to a John Smith Collection someday.

Colin YNWA

The only one I'd have on my list thats not been mentioned is Return to Armageddon. Otherwise for me a list of the John Smith stories already mentioned and Tribal Memories.

I picked that up cheaply in FP cheaply a couple of years back. Took a bit of a chance as I was unacquainted  with the story and characters, but it was super cheap.

It turned out to be quite fun.

All those, but especially Shadows*. Also:

Zaucer Of Zilk (Ewing and McCarthy)

Leviathan (Edginton and Disraeli)

Sancho Panzer (Abnett's script is pants, but Henry Flint draws his wee heart out)

I'd also enthusiastically endorse Steve's recommendation of Williams and Disraeili's Ordinary - best thing to appear in the Megazine since America.

Fans of Glimmer Rats may also enjoy:

The Corps (Ennis & MacNeil)

Purgatory (Millar & Ezquerra)

Killer (Moore** and Johnson)

... although I accept those are not widely regarded as classics.

Strips that should have remained one-offs:

Summer Magic (McKenzie & Ridgway)

Fiends Of The Eastern Front (Finley-Day & Ezquerra)

Rogue Trooper: War Machine (Gibbons & Simpson)

* Tim Perkins's perfunctory, post-fact colouring notwithstanding. I dream of Tharg one day offering de-Perkinsed versions of this, Chopper:Song Of The Surfer, and the dozens of Dredd stories he graced with his talents. Same goes for Fading Of The Light, The Pit and everything touched by the digits of Alan Craddock.

** Steve, not Alan.

Stone Island had two series.
