Any tips on creating cast shadows of an object or person in photoshop? All the tutorials i can find suggest making a copy of the image onto a new layer, then distorting it to get the angle you want (and this is how i first attempted it). This seems to work fine if the character you are shadowing is standing straight on and upright, but seems to not work if they are standing at an angle (the feet won't match up).

Anyone know what I mean, and can help?

Apologies if this has been posted before - I'm relatively new to this internet thingy, but I couldn't resist sharing this.

A few years ago, R Kelly made an album called 'Trapped in the Closet'. It was a narrative album, and to accompany each of the songs, he made a video, then released the lot on dvd. It's an Rn'B soap opera, and all the dialogue is sung by Kelly, sometimes even in accents/lady voices.

Got this on saturday. Great book and all, but I noticed it hasn't got the lovely matt finish all other Rebellion tpbs have. While I'm not likely to lose sleep over it, I'm wondering if I've got a duff copy, or will all future books be like this?

I normally buy my Rebellion trades through Amazon. Generally, i'll know a trade is out if it is available from third party sellers (in 'used and new'). Recently however, they've stopped appearing - eg Realpolitik and The hunting party.

Anyone else having problems getting hold of them on the net?
Is this problem local to Amazon?

I'm interested in contributing to some small press comics (Art-wise).
Nothing too ambitious - a few pages here and there would be challenge enough. My style is suited to either Sci fi stuff or contemporary settings, and unsuitable for horror/manga. And I don't write, so ideally I'm looking for a decent short story to illustrate. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or mail me off board, and I can send samples to whoevers interested.

How come there's no Meg 250 thread?
So what does everyone think of Cadet? Seems ok to me, if slightly underwhelming. For one thing I get the impression that this strip won't run for long, and I'm left with the impression that this is more 'America 2.5'.

The character of Cadet Beeny is interesting, though. Will she really change Justice Department, or is she just full of it?

Anyone else seen this yet?
Went to see it last night, and i was very impressed. Without doubt one of the most intense, nerve shredding films i've ever seen.

After about 20 mins of set up, the film just shifts into gear and doesn't let up until the end. (the bit when they get attacked by the gang with the motorbike in the forest is particulary cool, and the escape from the barn was just incredible).

The cast are all ace - including a great unhinged appearence by Peter Mullan, and the cinematography and art direction are fantastic (slighty reminiscent in look and tone to 28 days later, i thought)

Ending was slightly dissapointing.

Just wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers on how to 'clean up' an image in Pshop.

Basically I've got a scan of a print of a screen grab (don't ask) and need to make it vaguely presentable. Doesn't have to look great or anything.

What tools are good for this sort of thing?
