Someone in the "comicbooks" subreddit just posted the original script to part 2 of "The Taxidermist" via https://www.reddit.com/r/comicbooks/comments/3yim7r/i_found_an_original_judge_dredd_script_that_was/ --apparently they had written to Tharg in the '80s to ask how to become a comics artist, and T.M.O. sent back a boilerplate reply plus the script! Here it is (along with Alan Grant's "How to Be a Script Robot"): http://imgur.com/a/alOYX

For what it's worth, we tried pretty hard to make sure there was nothing in the IDW Mega-City Two miniseries that contradicted either the 2KAD-and-Megazine canon or the IDW/Swierczynski series. (Setting it in 2094 helped a lot with that: "well, maybe it changed by six years later...")

For what it's worth, here's a listing of precisely what's in every book, in chronological order by first otherwise unreprinted episode: http://dreddreviews.blogspot.com/2013/02/housekeeping-3-index-and-guide.html

(Quick clarification: the official title is now Judge Dredd: Mega-City Two, but "City of Courts" is still part of the logo. Also, the first issue's out Jan. 22--but there will be advance copies available at the four stores on the "Future Site of Mega-City Two" mini-tour that Ulises Farinas, Ryan Hill and I are doing next week!)

(Incidentally, I just saw Ulises' sketch for the fifth and final issue's cover yesterday, and... well, I'm still grinning.)

Nope! They're a little bonus for people who buy the individual issues.

Thought you might enjoy seeing a little preview image from the first issue of "Mega-City Two," as it's now called, by Ulises Farinas and colorist Ryan Hill.

A full-size version, and Ulises' black-and-white line drawing, are now up on IDW editor-in-chief Chris Ryall's blog: http://ryallsfiles.tumblr.com/post/66209834392/judge-dredd-mega-city-two-1-pages-2-3-art-by

(Gonna duck out of the conversation again now. Thanks for indulging me.)

Delighted to see all the interest in this! I'm gonna stay out of this discussion for now, I think, except 1) to note that my answers to a lot of the points that have been raised are "uh-huh! you'll see!," and 2) to post the complete cover to #1 (via the amazing Ulises Farinas' Twitter feed) by Ulises and colorist Owen Gieni.

Here's the description of "Mutants in Mega-City One" from http://books.simonandschuster.com/Judge-Dredd-Mutants-in-Mega-City-One/Warren-Ellis/9781781081679 :

"MUTIES OUT! The great Atomic Wars of 2070 created a population of mutants who, due in part to their bizarre (and in most cases grotesque) deformities, have been denied citizenship in Mega-City One. Rejected by the prejudiced 'norms' and forcibly kept away from the city by the Judges, the mutants have had no choice but to live in the vast, radioactive wasteland known as the 'Cursed Earth'. Harboring resentment and hatred against those that have exiled them, bands of mutants now prey on those that stray from behind the city walls – and sometimes even launch all-out attacks in a bid to gain entry to the Big Meg! This action-packed collection features classic encounters between Judge Dredd and mutantkind! Writers – John Wagner, Alan Grant, Al Ewing, Michael Carroll Artists – Carlos Ezquerra, John Higgins, Will Simpson, Chris Weston, Duncan Fegredo, Colin McNeil, Simon Fraser, Ian Gibson, John Burns, John Ridgway, Paul Marshall & Bryan Talbot. Features the never-before reprinted bonus story, Feed Me by Warren Ellis and Sean Phillips"

Also: Amazon U.S. indicates that there are Kindle editions of "The Pit" and Case Files 03 out today!

One addition: the long-delayed "Tales from Beyond Science" collection (eight stories from '92 and '93, all drawn by Rian Hughes) is apparently finally coming out from Image in the U.S. next week!

For the final weekly Dredd Reckoning review, Let's Talk About Love: A Journey to the End of Taste author Carl Wilson joins me to discuss Tour of Duty: Mega-City Justice. The conversation touches on Slavoj Zizek, Cylons, Patricia Highsmith, a "long endgame," Wacom tablets, Don Draper, etc.

Three pieces I particularly love:

1) A Phil Jimenez/John Stokes page from The Invisibles vol. 2 #3 (I also have the page before it!)

2) Gilbert Hernandez draws Iron Man!

3) A gorgeous Carla Speed McNeil page from Finder
