in with the newbies

I was just wondering, being a new boy, if there is a large influx of newbie fans on this site? If so, why? Have a lot of people just started reading 2000ad? Maybe it's always like this and I'm making something out of nothing.Bring on the newbies I say.

Yeah we want more newbies. Were hardly a closed shop..

In answer to yer question I think that mention of the site has been a lot more prominent in the prog recently and Tharg even gave us a plug 4 weeks or so back.

Id have to say, again, that this is the friendliest site Ive ever come across. We sit chill, chat about rubbish and occasionally discuss the prog.

im fairly new to this site and very new to this brilliant message board. first prog was prog 2003 and only started getting on this message baord a few weeks ago. interesting opinions and friendly help and chat from everyone. its great!:)

yup , there certainly is a sudden rush of newsters... why why ! whats going on ! Its a conspiracy... why arent they at Bristol ? Do they respect mah authoritay?

yes it wonderul to see so many new faces here.

im a quiet member of the board. only popping in a rare occasion.
there are lots of new memebers and thats a wonderful thing.

Lots of newbies, lots of grey squares. Individualise yourself with an icon.

How do I get an icon on the message board?
Choose your icon
Icons are 32x32 pixel gifs.
There are many examples on the website already, just check the properties of the image you want to find its name.
If you can't find a suitable icon, you can create one and send the image to binaries@2000adonline.com
Animated gifs are permissable, but should be no larger than about 5k
If you can't create one, ask on the message board and someone will make one for you
Icons will usually be uploaded to the site the same working day, assuming there are sent while I am at work.
Follow the link to the database chat room (below)
Type "/icon xxx" where xxx.gif is the filename for your icon.
Find a message on the message board you have previously posted to check. Icons are backdated, so you don't need to write a new message to test them.
Enjoy your new found expression!

If you need one made for you, ask the board and someone will gladly help.

I shall try to get some time to improve it further with this wonderful bit oc technology i now have.

The colour change was more to save byte size. I hope Mr Trout doesn't mind too much.
