There's a copy of 10 on Ebay at the moment with a buy it now price of £7.
With regard to 1794, you could try contacting a member on this forum called Blixab.
He usually has lots of back issues/doubles spares.

Good Luck!
That copy of 10 is battered as hell, I'd rather wait til a good quality one popped up. And blixab is one of the people who's helped me get this close to the end, I've bought several piles of things from him.

Just 10 and 1794 to go!

Is 1794 rare or something? I can't remember the last time I saw it on eBay.

Thanks to kind people on this forum, I'm now down to three things needed - 10, 1794, and the first Sci-Fi Special (well, them and eBay, but eBay doesn't need the thanks).

I'm giddy as a kipper! The collection is almost done!

I only need a few to completely complete the collection, which is quite nice. Many thanks to the people on here who've already helped me get this close, and if anyone has all these and wants to sell the lot, that would be ideal. I'll do bits and bobs, of course. The finishing line is so close.

2000AD - 9, 10, 1794

Sci Fi Specials - 1978, 1980

Summer Special - 1977

I think that's it, anyway.

I need like 7 individual issues to complete the set, or I'd be on this like white on rice :)

Does anyone expect anything different from a 2015 Adam Sandler movie? To the point of a hate-filled 10 minute rant?

"I was shocked, after reading the first two, that the third '50 Shades' book had S&M in it! Shocked!"

I do like how he kept his Patreon link up there throughout the whole review. Well, I presume, I only watched the first minute. I guess it didn't change much for the next nine.

EDIT: I made it to 1:22 and the point of his invective becomes clear. He really really loves the games that Sandler and co are fighting against and is sad that his memorabilia is tainted now. Plus, he saw how amazing that Red Letter Media takedown of "Jack And Jill" was. I presume, with 800,000 views, he cares not for my opinion though (my last review got about 100 views, so there's jealousy on my part too :) ).

Arrow just keep the ball rolling. After Society they are now aiming to release the first three Hellraiser films in a boxed set in October. I'm down for this.

Unless it's got all 9 I'm not interested :)

But yes, I'll probably buy this. I love the first three.

Games / PS4 info
21 July, 2015, 06:26:02 AM
I just bought a PS4 (Famous_Mortimer, but I don't really play the FPS combat-y games) and had a question which Google doesn't seem willing to answer. Perhaps I'm searching for the wrong things.

Anyway, I bought the new version of Saints Row 4, and it came with a few download codes for the addons. I panicked, thinking there's no way those codes would be valid after the original buyer used them, but they worked. So, did I just get a really incurious buyer or do the codes work multiple times?

Also, are there any games that I shouldn't buy second-hand, due to these sort of issues?

Revolutions do work, of course (our country has had a couple of rather big ones that completely changed things) - but you can't just opt out of the system with some vague idea of establishing connections outside "authority". The people with all the police and guns will see to it that you can't.

The point made by the (excellent) article the Legendary Falcon linked to is that neither the English Civil War nor the Glorious Revolution made the slightest difference to the lives of ordinary people - most of whom would have lived their entire lives without ever learning that one toff in a wig had replaced another toff in a more elaborate wig.

The Industrial Revolution, however, happened largely without the permission of the landed gentry (despite their best efforts, in fact) and transformed every single aspect of ordinary peoples' lives. It's the potential for a revolution of that order and magnitude which Paul Mason sees in the replacement of capital by information as the coin of the realm.
But they happened, though (as did the Industrial Revolution, as did the French, and so on) so saying "revolutions don't work" is being rather reductive, and quite wrong.

As soon as I can pay my mortgage with information, I'll be happy to talk to you about whatever odd plan this Paul Mason fellow has for the future.

You are basically saying "do nothing".  That is exactly what they want you to do.

An apparently spoiler-heavy review of the game from the lovely Red Letter Media:

I'm more annoyed that they picked Munn, who has never shown the slightest ability to act in anything she's been in. It's like a dare to see how far they can push her before movie fans riot, or something.

Being off work long term sick has pros and cons. Pros - I have been watching a lot of online tv... Firefly rewatch was as beautiful as ever.
Under the Dome... my self hate kept me going. It is objectively BAD television. Characters constantly act in inconsistent ways, never telling each other the crazy things they saw... then I read it is written by the Lost team... Horrible show. You can see Dean Norris screaming 'I WAS IN BREAKING BAD!' from behind his eyes as he delivers each leaden line... but grud help me, I could not stop watching...
I remember partway through season 1, Steven King defended the show in public, saying it was a different version of his book but still great, etc etc. The thing that always struck me is, if the original book had had the same plot as the show, it'd have been a complete disaster.
