Anybody get the feeling that 2000 AD has something seriously good on their hands with the Judge Dredd "Wolves" storyline?
Hour of the Wolf 12 episodes (Progs 520 to 531) Sleepers..?
But I feel genuinely upset and frustrated at this latest development, this film is so close to my heart, not least because of the fan screening and meeting Alex etc, it's really sad that this is the result after all the build up.

Latest development perhaps, but the final result (unless you have a Proteus in your backyard) we have yet to see

Chin up mate!  :D

Keep that ball rolling! Once more over the top my fine lads!   ;)

Film Discussion / Re: Dredd - Box Office

From the beginning of the Film Discussion thread there has been worrying about the big helmet, look of Lawmaster, cheap van, shoulder pads, no marketing etc the list goes on..
On every point the worry-ers have been proven wrong - the movie is totally Zarjaz!

Regarding Box-office even Garland said it would probably be a hard sell with the R 18 rating etc.. if it does very well this is to be considered a bonus. If it reamains a cult-classic that will be ok.

So the state of mind shouldn't be worrying and dooming which contributes no positive energy whatsoever and doesn't help at all.
If it's the bonus we want, then continue to sustain the positive buzz momentum the Dredd movie has hade the last couple of months.
In my opinion that's the way to care about this movie, don't abandon it by giving up hope!

QuoteWhy would Dredd have issues with a drug being used on the populace?

It's been covered before in "Oz," when Morton Judd wanted to make the entire population more docile and Fargo vetoed it because the judges are supposed to be the people's servants, not their masters. It should be no surprise that Dredd agrees with Fargo on the issue.

Indeed. "Our job is to police the citizens we have, not make the citizens we want."

But there has been stories that show Justice Dept occasionally feeding Tranq Gas to the general population to lower the crime rate to that particular area/sector..
Can't dig out the casefiles right now to find the prog.. can anybody help..?   :)

I went to the blokes house years ago and it was very interesting  :o

Ive heard from other collectors that Ian Senior had THE largest collection of Ron Smith artwork, amongst a whole treasure trove of other 2000ad art, as well. Bought a few bits from Ian over the last couple of years. A decent seller, i think.
Would be nice to read these catalogues - any chance of this being scanned and put up on here/elsewhere nicklarr?

Oh, nice to see a page i now own on one of those fotos. I didnt buy this from Ian, but the person who had it before me, obviously did!

Wow! Good to see that page in its original, I liked that  :)

So what's the story on Aaagh? Is Ian Senior still selling art? Where did he get all this wonderful stuff?

Maybe I can donate the catalogue to the Cellar of Dredd and CF can put it up on the blog, that would be fun!

Went down to the cellar (no not that one) today to clear out a few things since the last move.
Found many great and funny items and went Nostalgia De Luxe!

How about this Aaagh! original art catalogue from '97:

Fancy a Ron Smith page for under £30? (a Judge Child or Unamerican Graffiti Ron Smith!)

Ezquerra Apocalypse War pages - need I say more?

So... where's my Proteus...?   ;)  Aaagh!
