Erm so the last episode?  Any comments or are you all still trying to stuff you brain back in your ears?

I quite liked it in an arty farty way but didn't really appreciate it taking up half the episode.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Keef Monkey

I loved it, but can totally see why some people would be turned off! Saying that, I'd be surprised if anyone not up for a bit of full-strength Lynch has made it this far in the season because the weirdness has been pretty full-on throughout.

I can't remember when I was last so gripped and mesmerized by an hour of TV to be honest, just getting lost in the sounds and shapes, and the idea that it was depicting
the birth of Bob
just gave it all a tremendously sinister edge, something that nasty needs some apocalyptic visuals. Speaking of which, that slow shot of the
mushroom cloud
was amazing. I'd actually very much like to see that episode in a cinema one day.

I hear it's off for another week, which is nice, that episode will take some time to process! I'm very much in the 'this shouldn't be binged' camp on this show, the week of processing and unpacking each episode is an important part of its rhythm I think.

Link Prime

It was mesmerising to be sure, as a unique hour of TV as there ever likely will be.
Does this 'origin of BOB' contradict Lelands revelation that he knew (lived beside) "Robertson" as a child?

Link Prime

Unbelievably, we're down to the final 6 episodes.
The pace has slowed enough to extrapolate the finale will be set in the woods outside Twin Peaks with Twin Coopers having a 'there can be only one' showdown.

Jimmy Baker's Assistant

The whole thing is intricate and beautiful but
please God can we have Agent Cooper back already?
This is the last season ever then? Tits.

The creators have no plans for more but didn't rule it out in that non-committal who knows what the future brings kind of way. This season seems to be hauling in a lot of elements and ideas from the originals so while they could come up with more, I think this feels like a conclusive, if wildly sweeping, statement by Frost & Lynch.

From a ratings standpoint, I doubt the numbers are good enough nor do I believe anyone seriously ever thought they would be, but Showtime got their few million extra subscribers out of it and will sell loads more box-sets, so who knows.

I watched up to the mid-season break but after tuning in at 9pm the week it wasn't on Sky I've fallen out of the habit. Think I saw the first one after the 'skip week' but that's it. I know I can catch up on Sky Go but the momentum's gone for me. (Same with GoT S7 actually except I never made it to the first episode and now the impulse to watch has gone.) I'm thinking I'll wait for the boxset to come out and then catch up at some later, unspecified, time. Maybe.

Very much enjoying this series, but I'm quite happy with this being the swan song for Twin Peaks.

And there I was thinking that new episodes of Game of Thrones and Twin Peaks make Mondays almost bearable.

I'm getting the feeling that this season of TP will be good to return to and savour as a binge watch while pulling a sickie on a Monday. The psychological damage you sustain in doing so might necessitate taking the rest of the week off, though...

Felt sorry for Big Ed in his episode. No company, no cherry pie. He's no longer with Nadine is he?

Link Prime

Two prevailing thoughts this evening;
1) That was the greatest on-screen arm wrestle since Cronenberg's The Fly.
2) Tom Sizemore looks like a microwaved bottle of Just For Men.

Thinking about Audrey
I am convinced at this point that she is in a coma and we're seeing her wrestling with the idea of leaving the room waking up.
