Blimey, SUCH an old thread - how weird to read posts that you don't remember in the slightest  :o
Anyway, there's a bunch of Jack Staff title incarnations, that have their GN counterparts, and i'd recommend them all  :)

Allow me to reply with the latest of my "Someone Old, Someone New" pieces, a LONG time coming but worth the wait and, if you like it, the link here takes you to details of the what & why of it:

A really rubbish attempt done years back of the first Dredd meeting the latest, an idea that hopefully will be resurfacing done properly by an Art Droid for my "Someone Old, Someone New" project before too long  ;)

Books & Comics / A Welsh heads-up
19 April, 2015, 02:35:28 PM
Just back from a lovely holiday in North Wales, driving 'round visiting tons of neat places.
Llangollen was neat and then made even neater when we stopped into a combined cafe/second-hand book shop and found, laying in piles and piles on the floor stacked high, tons and tons of 70's and 80's British comics.
2000AD, Bullett, Warlord, Cor!, Beano, Battle - pretty much every title out back then, loads of them, and pricing from 25p to £1.50 a pop.
This is what we got - some for me, some for the Sprogs - als, not too many for me, as i don't need too many Actions etc now.
Highly recommended should you be in the area.

This is the oldest thing i kept, and still re-read to this day:

No, they do this from time to time, discontinuing certain figures. Seems financial suicide to me, especially as its the main character and not a minor one, like the Citi-Block bloke.
Maybe the contract is to make only so many?
Maybe they junked him so folk have no choice to go for the much more expensive one of him on his bike?
Who knows.
BTW - i think they also mentioned a while back that Rogue would be discontinued, but he's still available. Maybe that they just stop making them then and wait 'till stocks run out.

Maybe he was switching between the three on the day to break things up a bit?

Magnetica, think i was at the same 2000AD signing - picked up one of those whacking great Bolland Dredd posters FP used to produce then took it down the line of Droids to get it signed, with it all rolled up and just the border at the end unfurled for the signiatures.
Mike McMahon - signs,
Brian Bolland - signs,
Ron Smith - signs,
then John Wagner goes to sign (as Johan W Howard), unfurls the poster a bit more, then goes"its upside down" - young idiot that i was, never thought to check that i'd had it the right way up before asking them to sign  :(
So, mumbled a "that's okay" and got out quick, blushing all the way  :-[
Still can't look at it with the upside down signatures at Dredds feet without shame  :o
