First 4 Figures and Rebellion are proud to present the first in a new range of 2000 AD statues - Dredd Versus Death, based on a poster image illustrated by Greg Staples.
The fully hand-painted statue is minutely detailed, stands 11.5" tall and comes securely packaged in deluxe, full-colour packaging, including a Certificate of Authenticity. It is strictly limited to 1,000 numbered statues for worldwide distribution.

I don't really do statues and all that- but I have to say it looks pretty good (despite the belt buckle).
Nice.
I don't buy comic or movie Bric-a-brac but the only statue I'd ever be convinced to buy would be a quality Ezquerra style version of Dredd.
even at subs price, £120 is still out of my league. Too bad. Nice statue, although palette is way off from original...
Oh bugger. Just when I'm trying to save money for my US holiday!
Agree with Jonesy about the belt buckle, nice statue slightly let down by the pigeon.
I just followed that link and just before I put my card details in I had to stop as I saw no sign of a discount of 20% and I didn't want to risk it.
Anyone have any idea how the 20% is taken off.
Cheers John
Shouldnâ??t deaths arms be pinned to the floor by his unfeasibly large elbow pads? In fact they are so large I almost didnâ??t notice the belt buckle. And Dredds helmet is a bit rubbish as well. However the composition is actually really good.
Tweaks final score: 4/10 at first glance, it looks pretty cool but is not good enough to get me to buy.
Why not take a leaf out of Tirmight replicas book and base the piece on work by artistsâ?? like Steve Dillon, Carlos Ezquerra, Brian Bolland, Cliff Robinson and Colin MacNeil. That way we might buy them.
4/10? I think that's a bit harsh. Personally, I thought the helmet was great.
CF two versions on the site $250 and $299 I went for the 250 one (with discount?) and got a mail back saying they where away until 13th September so suggest no one bothers to do anything till at least then.
It just looks like that action figure thing as if Dredds got a bit of a two story brain going on
why not do a stause based on some thing like this? I would kill to have some thing like it
Its not like the statues awful it is trying to capture the spirt of this iconic Bolland Picture, which is good. BUT why not just be true to the original?
It's actually inspired by Greg Staples version, which was inspired by the Bolland version
I like it a lot- but not for that kind of money
It's based on art by Greg Staples, isn't it?
I think it looks great.
Waaaaay out of my price range, but someting I wouldn't mind on the tat shelf- I could have my Snake Plisken and Johnny Alpha figure shooting at it or something- that'd be cool.
Not that I pose them in fight scenarios or anything...
But its not that close to Gregâ??s version (which is brilliant BTW) it just that the details are not right and that bugs me.
I think that the companies who make these things would be better off asking the hardcore fans what kind of statue they want and allow a vote, because it's only hardcore heads who will buy such expensive bric-a-brac.
Cheers for that Large48, I shall put that date in my diary.
"I think that the companies who make these things would be better off asking the hardcore fans what kind of statue they want and allow a vote, because it's only hardcore heads who will buy such expensive bric-a-brac."
Very True.
I dont go for these sorts of things but it is good.My only criticism is the belt buckle.too big.
That Greg Staples picture is brilliant.I havent ever seen that before. It does improve on brian bollands work if that isnt a pointless comparison to make.Another piece of art i would love to own.
Latest news on the 20% discount etc....
Hi Guy,
Thank you for your e-mail. Yes, we wonâ??t be taking your payment. 2000ad will be taking your payment and will give you the 20% discount as long as you ordered within the discount time frame.

First 4 Figures Ltd
so it looks like we have to order from the 2000AD shop and not through the link?!?!?!
Cheers for that.
Large48 to the rescue again, lol.
Like it a lot but im afraid the Logan household wont be stumping up for one.
Today when I was in my local comic shop I was talking to the owner and his mate who just so happens to be a sculptor about this new model and about the arguments on here about it.
The sculptor asks me what I would like and shows me some of his stuff for sale in the shop (I thought they were all official merchandise, they are that good) so yes you have guessed it I am commissioning him to do a Dredd in a pose of my choosing.
Over the next week I will decide in who's style it will be made.
I am not sure what to go for yet, so I will be going through my stuff to find a definative drawing!!!!
I like the model above but I do not think the stance is realistic enough for me (I'll still buy it though, you have to don't you?)
Each 2000AD character in a fighting pose with their repsective arch-enemy.
I was thinking of Slaine.....
"I was thinking of Slaine....."
hands on the table where we can see them ThryllSeekyr :P

You
know it makes sense...
"why not do a stause based on some thing like this? I would kill to have some thing like it"
You'd kill to have a statue of a gay Judge Dredd?
Heh, I really like the new statue, even with the belt buckle, I can't afford it but to any Dredd fan with the spare creds, why not? I'm sure there must be plenty out there.
I don't buy much tat, but I got the DR and Quinch ones in the big sale a while back. Very nice. But for a skinflint like me they also have to be equally cheap.
"You'd kill to have a statue of a gay Judge Dredd?"
Are you saying Carlos Ezquerra's Dredd is Gay?
Ezquerra does the definitve Dredd in my opinion
But this particular picture is pretty bad
Shite pose too
That is so tempting especially as there is no way he can draw his Lawgiver from his boot with those arms. LOL.
Yeah the belt pounches are big aren't they.
Statues or statuettes for me are things I'd like to have but can't really afford but worst of all I have nowhere to put them!
I finally bought the great DR and Quinch statues when the 200ad shop had a massive sale but they're still in their boxes on top of my shelves gathering dust.
Sorry, Dredd looks like a right bender in that pic.
Normally think Carlos is ace, of course.
In that Carlos drawing have you noticed how far apart Dredd's feet are.
I am sure that is a stress position you can use to break prisoners with.
My God Joe is rock hard if he stands like that on his own accord. LOL.
What it reminds me of now I come to think of it is those Tom of Finland pictures.
(Cue Logan posting up a pic from his comprehensive collection)
If you lean backwards as if to look at the ceiling when standing in that position it is much much worse even if you are physically fit.
Again loving it but not the price mrs mogzilla would go up to 4 1/2 on me. I had to resist getting the robert harrop one and that was cheaper!
Also space at a premium since i got the remote control dalek and the 18 inch hellboy. I'll suggest it when she asks me what i want for chrimbo.
Well I have just ordered this from the online shop (I rang them in the end for the exclusive version, it was much easier) so that's my Christmas well and truly sorted.
I had better continue searching for that picture for my commissioned statue now!
Happy Days, I had a phone call from the webshop today informing me that my statue will be on it's way to sunny Maidstone next week.............AT LAST!

The Dredd Vs Death statue is indeed in at last! Sorry about the delay.
From now on, we won't announce any further release dates until we get the stock delivered.
Btw - just recieved some early computer images of a certain A.B.C. Warrior from First4Figures and they are looking really cool.

Bought my one today at the London FP for £125.................... )
It's a shame the 2000AD site doesn't give you an incentive to buy direct from them.....
E.G. include P&P and its £127plus, although if your not near a FP shop then I guess it is cheaper!!!!
Six away's not too bad, you could always scrape the 2 into an 8
Well done on getting your's I am green with envy.
I got number
