Only been to the Hop Poles and the Ram on King St at lunchtime - they're not that big though, and there's a weatherspoons, the Plough and Harrow if you want to go cheaper.

There's plenty there, just no idea if there are any recommendations.

The Salutation is good (just past the Weatherspoons), while Latymers which is quite close to the venue, is never that busy.

I'm a little bit scared as I've never even been to a convention before, but thank Grud I know some of you lot in real life so I'll not necessarily be the quivering wreck missing out on all the fun as I rock myself in the corner of the room.
