Well it woke me up, thats for certain!  :o

Turns out it belongs to a mate of mine who lives next door, and has been missing for 5 months!

I was wondering what had happened to the mouse problem...

It's as big or if you want it
Too small for the eye to see
Dare you take a peek inside it
Forget yourself what can it be?
Things you know you shouldn't look at
Things you know you shouldn't see
Things my dad couldn't explain
And things that others kept from me

It could be places you've not been
Or something of which you're ashamed
Sometime when you took the credit
Another when you look the blame

It's in your head and in your heart
It's everywhere you can see
C'mon kids and smash the lock
Reach within and find the key
Crawl inside and leave the rest behind
C'mon now, look in the box and see whatcha got
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

He/ She is very attractive. I am quite envious. Did you or your mate manage to make a recapture?

On the subject of snakes, While installing once, on opening the omni box (those ugly things that we put on your houses to protect the main connections) an adder was coiled up in there. At first I just thought it was an oversized cable until it slithered under the porch, I have never moved so fast in my life. A report in the local paper a few days later revealed that someone a few doors down from said install was bitten by a snake while hanging out her washing.

Yeah, he was being pretty docile so we just picked up gently and put him in a pillow case where he'd be happy.
And yes, he is an utterly beautiful creature!  :)
