I just live the fact the Dark Judges say they're a tribute band called
Useless Pill
and seeing Judge  death singing
Sssssee you at the bitter end
had me creased up in laughter. So glad I was able to read this. It's brilliant

Is it a full moon?

Funnily enough it was a full moon last night. Spooky huh?  :)

Did any other kids sing the alternate theme?

Down at Fraggle Rock,
Grab a Fraggle by the cock,
Swing it round your head,
Now the bastards dead!

Guilty as charged  :-[

I've just bought 2 tickets - with the shiny shiny extras - one of which shall be a late birthday present for Sheridan - not intended as a surprise so he'll not mind me posting online.   :D :D

I'm a little bit scared as I've never even been to a convention before, but thank Grud I know some of you lot in real life so I'll not necessarily be the quivering wreck missing out on all the fun as I rock myself in the corner of the room.

I made it through to round two of interviews for a job I really really wanted and I knew the interviews went well & I'd be really happy if offered the job.  They've kept me hanging on for almost a fortnight to decide if I got the job or not - clearly I didn't else I wouldn't be posting here, but never mind.  I had to call and ask (oh the indignity!) and apparently I was the 2nd choice and were it not for person they offered the job to, I'd have been perfect.  :( Grrrr

Oh well life goes on.

The good news is that like busses, new jobs are scarce and then several come through at once, so I've applied for 4 this morning. I also get to pretend to be The Dude from The Big Lebowski by lounging around in my dressing gown and having my cat shadow me all day whilst I treat myself to freshly brewed coffee. And... I might have ordered something 2000AD related for someone's fast-approaching birthday  :D

I want a Judge themed cycling jersey - no shoulder pads but a black top with flat gold-printed detail for the shoulders, a (printed) gold badge that says PSI-CLIST, and a link of chains to the badge.  If it were a long-sleeve jersey the lower sleeves could be green like the judges' gloves.

Apparently I'm the only one that wants one though, so I'll have to design my own.   :-[

The final Prog 2000 cover is up on 2000AD Covers Uncovered, thanks to Glenn Fabry and Ryan Brown. Yay!

Is it just me or does that look like Captain Kremmen in the bottom right corner?

Off Topic / Re: Best dinner party ever

Loving the idea of Bodger and Badger being at the table - would have to be some posh mash for a dinner party, wouldn't it?

I'd like to invite:

Sir Patrick Moore - not only to discuss astronomy, but to learn all the hacks for old computer games as the games master.

Tregard from Knightmare as I bet he'd be entertaining

Christopher Lee as he amazes me with his life experiences, as a former part of special forces, as an actor (Dracula, Saruman the White, Lord Summerilse, Count Dooku) and his music

Lemmy Kilmister as he was my introduction to Heavy Metal and my hero

and finally Nina Hagen as she is another hero of mine who does her own thing with such oomph (and she sang with Oomph! the band once)

The first cover of Prog 2000 is up, up, up! Cliff Robinson's 100th 2000AD cover which happens to also be for Prog 2000! Find out why Tharg has got no fingers too!

... So if Tharg were to drop in to Megacity One he would be Justice Thumbs!  :P

I loved seeing how this cover design evolved, but the icing on the cake for me were the tag lines.  Cracking Stuff Mr Wells.

Hi, I've only just discovered this glorious thread and wanted to share the love. I look forward to further 2000AD adventures in Lego.

I also wanted to share a creation of my own concerning Lego and Judge Dredd, if that's ok.
Some of the forum have met him at the 2000AD Southern Contingent, but may I introduce Judge Thread:
my attempt at a knitted Lego  Judge Dredd, whom I created for Sheridan's 40th birthday

Edit: Whoaa that image was huge - let me resize and send again

Lovely new Travelling Man just opened last weekend. Looks good.

Oh it is good! And I got nods of approval for wearing my Judge Dredd Tshirt in there  :D

By that, are you saying what happens in The Fulford Arms, stays in the Fulford Arms?  Or are we pretending that Rackle didn't drag you to the wrong cemetery in Fulford to 'meet the family' (well there are two in Fulford). :-[

Thanks folk for the suggestions. York was fun.

Great work, Judge Burdis (and Rakie)!

Proof that I need my glasses - I thought that you said "Great work, Judge Burdis (and Rackle)!"
for a second I thought I did something good for a change  :P
