Off Topic / CD Flight Cases
11 July, 2006, 10:19:31 AM
Does anyone know where to get good ones? I'm having a lot of trouble finding any that will fit my requirements.

I'd like to have one that could fit 100 or preferably 200 CDs inside their jewel cases.

Anyone know of a web or bricks and mortar store that sells them?

Off Topic / Do you wear glasses or contacts?
10 May, 2006, 11:20:40 AM
if you do, i'm pretty sure you wish you didn't have to, so here are some are some eye exercises you can use to improve your eyesight. These exercises  were devised by US opthalmologist Dr William H Bates (1865-1931) re-educating visual habits and improving vision, and have since been adopted around the world.

Start with 5 minutes a day, later you may wish to inrease to 5 minutes twice a day. These exercises are best done without glasses or contact lenses.

1. Palming - Cup your hands and place them gently over your closed eyes. Total darkness is very therapeutic and relaxing for the eyes. Palming may be done at any time during the day to revive tired eyes. Whilst palming your eyes perform the following exercise: Keeping your head still, look down as far as you can, then return your eyes to the centre. Continue by looking to the right as far as possible, up as high as you can and then to the left, returning the eyes to the centre after each movement. Repeat this 10 times.

2. Tromboning - Focus on an object, eg a pen tip, held at arm's length. Slowly (take at least 5 seconds) bring it in until ir touches your nose, focusing on it all the time. Move in and out 10 times.

3. This is similar to exercise 1. This time focus on a pen or other object held in your hand. Hold this directly in front of you and move it slowly as far down as you can continue to see it. Focus on it all the time, wiggle it if necessary to help you see it. Repeat for the other directions, focusing on the object on the outward movement only. Repeat 10 times.

4. Splashing - splash your closed eyes 20 times with warm then cold water in the morning and with cold then warm water in the evening. This improves circulation.

5. Swinging - stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and sway from side to side while keeping your eyes fixed on a point in the distance in front of you. Repeat 50 times, blinking left and right as you do. This relaxes the eyes and reduces strain.

I think maybe you need to restart, or switch off your connection and reconnect. The later most likely, that's what fixes it when it happens to me.

General / The Return Of The Latex Clad Chimp
18 November, 2005, 09:54:27 PM
This is the first script i've ever written btw:

The Return Of The Latex Clad Chimp

By Max Koneczny

1 page

1.   Close up of a slightly bruised banana

2.   Female chimp called May-Belle, sitting alone with the banana in her cage looking despondent.

May-Belle: GIVE ME LOVE

3.   May-Belle looks out of her cage and sees the zookeeper approaching. She looks terrified. There is a monkey wearing a hat in the cage across the path from her cage, this monkey bears no relevance to the plot!!

4.   The zookeeper has entered the cage; he has a leer across his face, and a small but noticeable bulge in his front pocket.

Zookeeper: COME HERE MY PRETTY

5.   A chimp clad in latex and wearing a cape bursts through the wall of the cage, in the classic Superman flying pose. There is a big C on his top.

6.   The latex clad chimp stands with his hands on his hips; rubble surrounds him on the floor. May-Belle cowers in the corner of the cage behind the latex clad chimp with her arms over her head.

The latex clad chimp: BE OFF YOU FIEND

7.   From behind the latex clad chimp we see the zookeeper looking up in horror.

Zookeeper: HOW DID YOU FIND ME AGAIN? I THOUGHT YOU HAD DIED THAT LAST TIME
The latex clad chimp: YOU THOUGHT WRONG

8.   May-Belle looking up at the latex clad chimp with love in her eyes. The zookeeper is fleeing along the path outside the cage.

May-Belle: MY HERO! HOW DID YOU FIND ME IN MY TIME OF NEED?
The latex clad chimp: I HEARD YOUR CALL FOR MONKEY LOVE

9.   Completely black panel

May-Belle: WOW! IT?S JUST AS BIG AS MY BANANA!

I was electrocuted about 15 min ago. Full 240v from the mains. Most people who suffer one of those are seriously injured or dead, yet all I have is a sore thumb and a head ache.

Woo, I'm not dead!!
