Paul has delivered so much solid work over the years, including, as has been stated, many collaborations with John Smith. I prefer Brett's earlier detailed work on Rogue, but that's not to detract from how incredibly he brought Bad Company to life in collaboration with Jim McCarthy.

Paul Marshall 3, Brett Ewins 2.

I can't imagine anyone drawing the lion's share of Zenith other than Steve, plus we have his Devlin trilogy and The Red Seas. Fraser has done outstanding work on Judge Death and others, bringing backs of atmosphere.

Steve Yeowell 3, Fraser Irving 2.

Mine was the 1984 Sci-Fi Special, as I was reading Eagle at the time (any chance of a collected Doomlord?) and Ian Kennedy had drawn Dredd on the cover - my thinking was, if Judge Dredd's good enough to be drawn by Ian Kennedy, it must be worth a read. The Dredd inside was drawn by Cliff Robinson, one of his earliest I think, and was about an illegal gameshow where if you got a question wrong you were disintegrated. Needless to say I was hooked.

Love Patrick's work on Savage, it's exactly right for those stories. Kev's work has varied in style, but he's created some memorable moments in Dredd, ABC etc.

Patrick Goddard 3, Kev Walker 2.

Anyone picked up the Jaegir volume yet?
What stories are we getting? Is it a complete run (to date)?

Jaegir contains:

Strigoi
Circe
Brothers in Arms
Tartarus
Warchild
Bonegrinder
Valkyrie

So yes that is everything to date.

What about 'In the Realm of Pyrrhus'?

Oh yes, missed that, what looked like a strip page was a title page.

I really like Jock's style but PJ brings it home all the time, every time.

PJ Holden 4, Jock 1.

Love Simon's work on Revere, and, yes, I think he did a decent job on Strontium Dog. Dom's hugely atmospheric work brings a lot to the table, so for me it's Simon Harrison 2, Dom Reardon 3.

If only we could give half points, these two would get equal billing.

As it is, and this could be reversed on a different day: Massimo Belardinelli 3, Brendan McCarthy 2.

Mark has done some fantastic work - Durham Red, the Ten-Seconders - but for me Ron will always be one of the original classic Dredd artists.

Ron Smith 3, Mark Harrison 2.

Boland will always be held up as creating classic work for the Prog's early days. But Lee has created some incredible work for the modern era, love his work on Dead Eyes and Angelic.

If I could issue half points I would, but as it is it's Brian Bolland 3, Lee Carter 2.

I'm a big fan of Boo's work, having mostly seen it on Dredd, Anderson and the stupendous Ultimate Collection spine art. But Kevin co-created Nemesis...

Got to go with my initial thoughts here so Boo Cook 3,Kevin O'Neill 2.

Neil has a style more in keeping with vintage Anthony Williams, which I can appreciate but it's not always my cup of tea. From Jim we have Skizz and sparing but great work on Dredd.

So for me it's Jim Baikie 4, Neil Googe 1.

Ian Gibson's work includes some absolute classics - Halo Jones, especially Book 3, Robo-Hunter, Dredd...

But then D'Israeli has a hugely impressive body of work too.

On balance, for me, Ian Gibson 3, D'Israeli 2.

Need to mention here Greg's incredible work on Dark Justice, where you can see how much he's grown from his early pages.

Leigh brings atmosphere to Defoe and Aquila and clearly has great fun with Kingmaker.

They're both great, but I think Greg just pips it for me so my scores are Greg Staples 3, Leigh Gallagher 2.
