Any info on a third Mega city undercover collection? Want one that collects the eps before those in Trifecta!

Got the book today. Planning on reading it tonight. And I must say, the HC has left me wanting more of those from 2000ad  :D :D :D

What's Fire Emblem like?

I know it's a sort of turn-based strategy type deal, but what other game(s) would you compare it to? Advance Wars? (I'm shit at Advance Wars).

It's a turned based roleplaying/strategy game. I'm planning on playing on easy to learn the game, and then head for the hard as nails-way it's meant to be played: that when a character dies, he or she stays dead.

It's said to make you really involved in your game.

Anyone who played this?

Think it looks great. But I really need to focus on playing Fire emblem... Not to mention a couple of upcomming WiiU-games...

Okay thanks!

I suppose they won't glue them together, since such books would become quite big.

Will start by bringing them with me, see what they think!

Anyone who tried doing this?

I'v spotted some of my Dredd TPBs been giving up, with the spine starting to fall off, and thought maybe have a bookbindery (looks like there's alot of those, even in small communes like mine) put together the following.

Brothers of the blood + Total War
Complete America + Origins
Tour of duty book 1, 2
Day of Chaos book 1, 2

But any idea if it's possible to have each cover cut out and put on the front and the back of the cover (with the back done in a similar manner, but with the back of each book) ?

I'd for example want the Brothers of the blood to cover it and Total war (who's cover would be on the back side of the said cover). Anyone tried doing the same, but for example with a prog or megazine cover?

Anyone who knows where to find it digitaly?

I'v checked Comixology.com but it's nowhere to be found. They only seem to stock the free comic day issue and the reg. IDW Dredd.

The cover's a hologram-thingy, so that from some angles it's Dirty Frank in Dredd's visor and from others it's Jack Point.

Clever GN collection droids.

Sounds great. Can't wait to pick it up next month!

I've had this with a number of Rebellion trades - usually the thinner ones. Some have gone back for replacement. My copy of Shakkara vol 1 looks like it could be fixed with a Pritt stick.

Worst offender is Thrill Power Overload - in my hardback copy the sections have completely come away from the glue :(

In a similar way that it happened after just opening a book a couple of times?

A bit annoying since I don't think I'll be able to get the books replaced where I bought since it's been some months (DoC been out since Feb now for example)

Would be cool if some DREDD epics where collected in HC. Bigger ones like Tour of duty and Day of chaos or old classics collected as:

Robot wars, Cursed Earth and Day the law died
Judge Child Quest, Destiny's Angels and City of the Damned
Black Atlantic, Bloc Mania, Apocalypse war and Meca City
Unamerican graffiti, The Midnight Surfer, Oz, Soul On Fire and Song of the Surfer
Letter from a democrat, Revolution, America, Fade the light, Terror, Total War, Cadet and Caught in the Act

It's just that it happened a bit too fast. Probably a case of bad luck.

Happened before with 2 or 3 100Bullets tpb (who I now collect as HC) but that was after years, and not as now within a couple of months.

And it just happened to my copy of Day of chaos 4th fraction, one I actually got replaced because of a similar "glue incident", but with last couple of pages hanging out almost half a cm on the lower part of the spine.

Nowhere near as bad as my first copy of 4th fraction, but still a bit annoying since I'v only eyed through the pages a bit when I got my new one. Been saving it to read it together with next weeks endgame.

No one else that had this problem?

It always happened when reading close to the end of a book, and then there's a slight cracking sound (as if the glue is loosened).

As said, they hold together. But for how long is that? Any idea anyone?

Arh don't listen to the man its bloody great!

I'm planning on giving it a re-read later this summer, since I really want to like it (I really do) more than I did.

My problem could be that I hoped for something entirely else, which my head translated into "something more", or the lack of sleep due to a midnight sun. I'm not sure, but hopefully I'll come around ;)

Great stuff! Some fond memories of those strips.

Got tons of them. Only downside is that it made my sense of humour a bit peculiar.

The Sisters Brothers by Patrick deWitt

Heard a lot of praise about this book. Became very interested when the book sounded like the bridge between Blood Meridan and Don Quijote!

Overall a fun read. Filled with strange and imaginitive things, but lacks substance. Which is a shame really, when it feels like it could have been soo much more!

Read Gary Larson's The Complete Far Side: 1980-1994.

I must say, I really enjoyed a most of it! Most of the 4000 or so strips felt like classics.
