Film & TV / Re: Deadwood movie?

Just watched the Deadwood 'movie' and liked it very much. Hearst's beating seems to have been airbrushed from history...

But we can't upset these...
Lets go fer it!

Given that the abomination that was Stallone's Judge Dredd took nigh on 7 years to finally reach the screen, the longer this drags on the better it is to kick it into touch now!

Excellent documentary, warts and all! However I'm only here as that great intro has been now posted on You Tube.

Thanks for the feedback. From my impressions of what I've seen it appears IDW have gone off on a tangent somewhat. Stoneage MC-1 etc??? Guess I'll stick with the official line on this!

I don't know if this has been asked elsewhere. Are these any good and where do they stand in the official canon?

Cheers!

Saw some of these, sans gifts, on ebay with prices ranging from the £30-£50 mark although these are sure to rise.
The complete collection WITH gifts is an eyewatering 3 grand...although payment plans are available!  :o

My first prog was #1, with the spacespinner stuck to the front with a strip of sellotap nearly tearing the cover in half! I got every other one up to around year 1983 with the exception of prog 3. I hunted high and low for this at the time but it was sold out everywhere... that Red Alert Survival Wallet must have been mightily sought after!

Every other one?  You bought on alternate weeks, or you bought every week up to 1983?  If you paused reading in 1983 then you picked the worst time to stop!

Each subsequent prog published, a bit silly to miss every second week! Then again it was very silly of me to totally stop reading in the mid 1980s. I'm at prog 436 in my "re-read" so have progressed far beyond where I originally stopped... now into uncharted territory for me!

Prog 424, Dredd says about Chopper "... He's out. Now heading south on Lusardi!"

Sublime!

Book arrived today and had a quick flick through, its as good as I thought it would be. I can identify with the stuff up to the mid 80s, beyond that was after I stopped reading the mag. I think I'd be better read the book til then and then power through my back issues before continuing!

My copy should be here in the next few days. So looks like good holiday reading as I'm off for a weeks leave.
