Cartoonist Kayfabe (Ed Piskor and Jim Rugg) have done an excellent, and long, interview with Brendan McCarthy. There's a lot about Mad Max, his various collaborations with Peter Milligan and Zaucer of Zilk. I'd recommend it.

Ed Piskor is fantastic I love his Hip Hop Family Tree if folks aren't aware of it.
His Wizziwig book about early hackers is worth reading as well.
