One comics related one - did very well in the open auditions for the Tank Girl movie (urgh!) and ended up in a lot of press.

ha ! my ex was the costume designer for tank girl.

I  was an extra in a film with Anna Friel and had her shouting in my face as part of a scene.  Got to say, she seems like the type of person needs a right kick up the (admittedly shapely) arse.
I had a pint with both the Thrills and Ash at different times.  Both times I didn't have a clue who it was I was chatting to, and had to be told afterwards.
