So the Prince Charles, London are doing Robocop, The Raid and Dredd back to back, its a 2d showing of Dredd as well - maybe one of the last showings outside arthouse type events ?

http://www.princecharlescinema.com/events/events.php?seasonanchor=moviemath

Booked 2 tickets already.

(Recon The Raid might be a chance for beers, if they let you out and come back, that is !)

HIve Mind Help!
Back in the day, around/ just prior to the Fighting Fantasy days, there was a range of childrens books that featured maybe 5 short stories about Monsters in each book,(some famous/ folklore).....same size print as the FF books, soft cover.

There was one cover which had a young guy slaying a river monster that used to crush its victims, so he mounted loads of spikes on his armour.
I think the series ran to about 6 books maybe.
Someone must remember, I'm Googled to death !!
cheers ;-)

General / Mean Arena

Was chatting about this yesterday, has it ever been re-compiled ?
It's something I have very little but fond memory of so I for one would like to revisit it.
I think Steve Dillons artwork at the time was some of his best ever, but that's all I can really remember about it!

Just saw this posting. If ever there was a chance for further 2000AD licenses to become animated (2d or 3d), could this be it?

http://www.imagineanimation.net/?q=node/9419

Singapore's Media Development Authority (MDA) has announced a major fund of up to S$5 million for every new animation programme made with foreign companies.

The country is inviting producers from all over the world to pitch ideas for new animation content. Producers who have worked with Singapore have said the country has a lot more to offer than money.
"We were grateful and excited with the opportunity to work with the Singapore MDA, and the Sparky Animation company there, whose technical ability enabled us really, to produce and deliver an enormous amount of animation content in a very short period of time," said Peter Shube president of the Jim Henson Company.

I spotted this link and thought it would be a funny to see if anyone from 2000AD fancied a go.
Might make a good thing for a Comic Relief or something!!!

Hi,
Righto- I am confused over the writing of a synopsis for a GN

Just how long should it be?
Should it be a blow by blow account of the plot, or a generalisation?

For instance, if it was to be a 60 page GN, what should the synopsis length be ?
3 pages ?

(ie: on the Submission page, it says a 1 page synopsis for a 5 page Future Shock)

I am about to produce a 'Pitch Pack', and I was thinking I should have the first page as almost like the back cover for a novel- a quick sell, if you like, and then a fully written synopsis following that.
Would this be workable? or just I just got for the jugular with the synopsis?

Any advice greatly received!!

Dan.
