I've just pre-ordered Arkham Origins from Amazon for £30.00 which seemed pretty cheap to me.
It's worth pre-ordering if you like the challenge maps because you get to play as Deathstroke. I think there's some Knightfall content too.

'Half and hour and £15 poorer....'

As an added bonus, the Arkham games have now had the execrable Games for Windows Live and Securerom DRM patched out of them in favour of Steamworks  :D.

Also, if you already own the games on Steam (you can add the key from retail versions to Steam too) they have upgraded them to the GOTY editions with all the DLC thrown in free  :).

The only downside is that save files are not compatible, so if you are part way through like I am with AC then you will lose your progress. There is a fiddly workaround I believe though but I am pondering starting again anyway.

I couldn't be happier seeing the death of GFWL, I hope devs continue to patch it out of existing games like this before they pull the plug on it for good next year.

If they patch it out of Fallout3 then that would give me an excuse to go through it again :D

Rog69

Ditto here too, I deliberately bought Fallout 3 for the PS3 to avoid GFWL and missed out on all the mods etc so I would probably pick it up for the PC if they fix it.

There are other games where it is being patched out too, Bioshock 2 was cleansed last month so that is on my shopping list come the next Steam sale.

ARGOS are doing a NINTENDO 2DS (it's a 3DS without the 3D or clamshell design - I think in every other respect, the functionality is the same) for a fabulous £99 until 29th October.

That's a bit of a bargain in my eyes - the 3DS is a spectacularly good console with some cracking games available for it.

So if the 3D has put you off previously, here's a fine price get on board.

Be excellent to each other. And party on!

tHAT'S £99 WITH two GAMES THROWN IN.

MASSIVE Halloween Sale on Steam at the moment

http://store.steampowered.com/sale/halloween2013

Few I'd recommend -

Left4Dead 1 & 2
Walking Dead
Aliens Colonial Marines (not at full price but for under £4)
Sleeping Dogs
Limbo
and while I havent played yet I've only heard great things about Fallout3 and Fallout New Vegas so as both ultimate editions are up for under £4 it's probably the best time to grab 'em

jackstarr

...if only I didn't have 49 (!!!) unplayed games in my Steam library after the Steam Summer Sale / Humble Bundles...

Limbo is going for £2 just now on the Playstation Network. Cannot recommend the spooky, ridiculously atmospheric adventure game enough.
Check out my new comic Supermom: Expecting Trouble and see how a pregnant superhero tries to deal with the fact that the baby's father is her archnemesis. Free preview pack including 12 pages of art: http://www.mediafire.com/file/57986rnlgk0itfz/Supermom_Preview_Pack.pdf/file

Have heard so much about this, but never played it.
Will pick-up later, cheers Gordy.
