Word for this vote - PUNISHING

This time round rather than try to express the difficulty of each vote will be as ad nauseum I'll just add a different synonym for difficult at the start of each vote in the Quarter Finals and you can make your own sentence from that.

Both of these have done some iconic - stella - covers BUT...

Argh.. Both brilliant, both have produced some incredible work over the years... On balance I'm going with Colin MacNeil because of so many great stories - America, Mechanismo, Song of the Surfer, Insurrection, to name but a few. Not that I want to detract from Cliff's iconic covers though. Like I said, argh.

Cliff's great but MacNeil is a legend. He'd be a strong contender for the classic crown too, except that we are fortunate to still have him drawing for us.

MacNeil.

Cliff is rightly a legendary figure of progs past and present, an artist of vast technical and design chops; but Colin's contribution to the comic over the last 30 years is almost unparalleled, so my vote can only go one way.
