Great news, cannot wait to see what comes feom this in the future

Also there are some massive 3rd party film and TV companies I can see wanting to borrow the space for filming in the future such as Star Wars, Dr Who, anything Marvel and non Sci-Fi too

It's also available on steam to buy if you just want the game for just over a fiver

Suprised there is no thread for this yet, anyone else see it in this weeks thrill mail?

Used to own that on the Megadrive all those years ago, should be good for a laugh, I never did complete it.

Also I would totally buy it if they released it on the Switch, just saying.

If you haven't already read them, I think you'd really dig the Dreddworld spin-offs Simping Detective, Lenny Zero and Low Life - all extremely 'Noir', for the most part... The likes of Marauder and Bato Loco also have a great line in 'seedy underbelly' type stuff.

Thanks added to wishlist

On a bit of a Cyberpunk kick at the moment (this year we had gits live action, bladerunner 2049, Blame! Was On netflix, battle angel alita live action movie is coming soon, Deus Ex Mankind divided was recent as well as ruiner game and still awaiting Cyberpunk 2077 from cdpr in the near future! Etc)

I know all of Judge Dredd is Cyberpunk/Dystopian

But what are the stories that most resemble something out of Bladerunner or that futuristic Neo Noire type setting or stuff related to the above to read?

Technically it could be all of it, but if you had to pick a few to read.

General / Re: How did you first get into 2000ad?

I saw the 1995 film in the cinema when i was 13yrs old and enjoyed it   :-[  ::)  what? I was young i didnt know the source material and i didn't know better, anyway went with my mates into town afterwards and he bought the Novelisation of the Movie,  as he always claimed the books were always bettervthan the movies, wanting to be cool i considered doing the same, but there was only one left.

A little while later i saw i think prog 950 with Stallone on the cover, not knowing much about comics i assumed it was a comic/magazine companion to the film, plus it was cheaper than the book as i never had much pocket money, so i bought it, loved it and bought it everyweek for about a year and a half to two years and the megazine too, but it started becoming harder to buy in the area i lived in as i had moved inbetween collecting it for the first time, plus my mother got on at me to get rid of my comics as i was 14/15 too old and had too many to take with us to our new home.

Eventually i saw they were making the new film about 2010ish i think on aint it cool news and i got ahold of a couple of case files and some of the graphic novels off ebay, read a few

Come back to these boards about a year ago, been buying up a small collection during the sales, just still havent got round to reading much yet, it's been a busy year lol. I will when i have time, and now the T.V series has me hyped

Does the sale need a promo code?

I had same problem had ten items in my basket, had to whittle it to 8 and i was allowed to check out then

Yes, if nothing get's announced Movie/T.V wise I'm going to be so Dissapointed, as this is the perfect time to do it.

I know i said it last year but didn't get round to much, but this year I'm gonna try and make a effort to get back into the comics again, as a fan who has been away since 1996, now i think is the time to do it, i bought a ton of back issues with that 50p sale and havent touched a single issue yet, although last year i did re-read OZ, and a few random stories with a few graphic novels i also bought

Speaking of Sales, I'm hoping for a good 40th blowout sale, it's nice with the Hachette sale thats on now to kind of Start us off.

I'm also chuffed the 26th of Feb is a Sunday, so it means I'm off work, but i may make my own full weekend dedicated to 2000ad seeing as i can't make the convention, rewatching Dredd, Judge Dredd  The Documentary, reading the comics, playing Dredd vs Death on the P.C, maybe the Megadrive game if i can get my hands on it, The Fan Films, That Dredd vs Death Youtube cartoon etc

You can certainly bring other books to be signed as well. I assume there will be plenty of copies of Prog 2000 in the shop which they will be keen for us to buy but I've never been to a FP signing where that was compulsory.

Sometimes if the queue is very long the organisers will set a limit on things to be signed. At the Bolland and McMahon cursed earth signing it was three items including the book itself, although I think that was stretched a bit

Of course some people take things to extremes and many of us have been stuck in a line behind the guy with the pull-along suitcase which turns out to be piled high with books to be signed. Don't be that guy, please.

Pick books that are important to you or yours, or that represent particularly fine examples of the creator's work. Or if you are looking for a bit of chat then an old or rare book will often trigger some interest from the droids.

Have fun and say hello, 2000AD fans are a friendly bunch in my experience.

Oh, and my spelling in my last post was lamentable. Apologies.

Thank you once again for your informative reply, i litterally have just one book i want signed and maybe issue 2000 thats all. No worries on the spelling, i have awful spelling and grammar, punctuation etc,  but your posts were 100% clear to read so thank you so much.
